Story
They call me Exuberant, Handsome and Sweet but you can choose a new name for me when we adopt each other. I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me. I’m a happy dog who loves people more than anything else in the world. I’m a 4+ year old mix, with a 22” collar and am very big and strong. The Vet said I weigh 73 pounds. Don’t let that scare you because I am just a mushy ball of love. I like to let everyone know how happy I am to see them by twirling around and wagging my tail as fast as it will go. This is usually when they call me Exuberant. I like to have fun. I’m such a good boy and I have good potty manners. I prefer being inside with people at night especially. Since I have a lot of energy and need exercise, your large fenced yard will be well-used. My foster peeps say I need a family, not a job. They know that I’m a quick learner and will be someone’s best dog ever. Because I’m big and young at heart, my new humans should have some experience with dogs and be able to work with someone of my stature. I promise I will try to do everything you ask enthusiastically. I don’t like loud booming noises (fireworks or dynamite) or gunfire but neither do most of my friends. Health wise, I am terrific; up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Foster peeps say it means I will get my forever home very soon! Maybe it’s yours! FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
Meet Rufus: Your Loyal and Devoted Companion! Hello there, I'm Rufus, an 8-year-old canine with a heart full of love and a yearning for a serene and tranquil home. Here's a little about me: Solo Star: The Only Pet You'll Ever Need I'm looking for a home where I can be the center of your universe, without any other furry companions to share the spotlight. I'm ready to shower you with all the love and attention you'll ever need. Tranquil Territory: Peaceful Oasis Preferred I thrive in a calm and quiet environment. A home with minimal visitors and a serene atmosphere would be the perfect backdrop for our journey together. Guardian Instincts: Resourceful Protector of Loved Ones I have a strong sense of guarding the people I hold dear. It's my way of showing my devotion and ensuring their safety. You'll have a faithful protector in me. No Room for Little Explorers: Adults Only Zone While I'm a sweetheart, I'm not the best match for young kids. My timid nature and specific needs are better suited to a home with adults who understand and appreciate my unique personality. Timid Turnaround: Patience Leads to a Lifetime of Loyalty At first, I may be a little reserved, but once I warm up to you, I'm all in. I'd move mountains to make the people I love happy and cherished. If you're seeking a faithful companion who will cherish you and create a world of tranquility, I'm Rufus, and I'm ready to fill your life with love and loyalty. Let's embark on this journey together!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi … my name is Mango Grace! Read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me.   If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online. If you can't adopt and meet her special needs, you can still help her by sponsoring her extended care with tax-deductible donations designated for Mango Grace's care.   “Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen.”– Orhan Pamuk (author, My Name Is Red)  Does Mango Grace speak to you?   She is a special gem in need of a special hero.Mango was a stray who ‘picked’ a family that she found. All the people in the family loved her, but Mango’s high energy and exuberance proved to be too much for their older dogs.  Her play style with other dogs is a little rough-tumble and in-your-face, and not all other dogs are OK with that.  She does not always meet new people well, but once she trusts you, she is a velcro dog with her people. She loves her current foster mom, but for the first 3 days, she growled at her too. She still needs more socialization before she can be a 'go everywhere' dog. Mango will enjoy a new family with people who have time to spend with her, who are willing to take her to training, who are willing to make sure she gets plenty of exercise … who are willing to love her and work with her to become the best dog she can be. Could that be you?Approximate age/birthdate:  born ~ April 2015 Weight/size: 45-50 lbs Housebroken:  YES (if you do your part letting her out regularly) Crate trained:  YES Personality:  busy, wary of new people at first, playful Energy level:  very energetic, rough and tumble play style  Fenced yard required?:   YES ... a physical fence (no underground/electric fences)  No Exceptions.  Mango would be a danger to neighborhood cats and possibly small dogs. She has a high prey drive. Does he/she jump fences?  NO (but she could if she wanted to) Leash walk:  YES … high energy so will still pull Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’ Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … gets a little stressed at first          Spayed/neutered:   YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES Microchipped:  NO but a chip will be provided Social with other dogs:  YES but she is selective about her friends and not all other dogs are tolerant of her energy.  Slow, proper introductions to any new dogs is a MUST with her.  She does not do well with smaller dogs if they are pushy and yappy.Social with cats: NO CATS … she plays far too rough and has a high prey drive Good with children:  Her energy may be overwhelming for small children.  Will be better with children 12 years old and up Adoption donation: $175 We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Mango Grace picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi … my name is Lacey! Please take a minute to read my entire bio to find out everything you need to know about me.   If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online. Sweet Lacey … the beautiful little lady who had some rough times in her young life, all the while showing nothing but sweetness and love to people helping her get healthy again.  In January 2022 Lacey was a young mom with 3 young puppies, and she weighed barely 25 pounds. Fast forward to March 2022 and after lots of TLC and lots of extra meals, she had blossomed into a 43 pound beauty, still giving kisses to everyone she sees! It has been such a joy watching this sweet girl get stronger by the day.  She is such a gem, and she is going to be an amazing addition to some very lucky family.  If you love boxers and their silliness, she just might be the girl for you.  She is a happy goofball who really does spread sunshine wherever she goes! Things Lacey would love to have in her new forever home:     People who would love her unconditionally and who would let her be a lap dog.     A physically fenced yard where she could run and explore.  She is quite an athlete and needs plenty of exercise to keep her happy and healthy.     A person who would take her to basic obedience class so she could show how smart she is and so she could have a great socialization experience.  Going to class together is a great bonding time for a pup and her person. Approximate age/birthdate:  ~Feb 18, 2021 Weight/size:  43 lbs Housebroken:  YES as long as you do your part and take her out often and on a regular schedule. Crate trained:  YES Personality: sweet, loving, silly, playful, happy                 Energy level:  medium with spurts of high … she is pretty calm inside but she can run like the wind and jump like she has springs on her feet Fenced yard required?:   Definitely preferred.  She will love leash walks with her person, but she will also enjoy the freedom to run around off-leash inside a fenced yard. Does he/she jump fences?  She has not … but she probably could.  It would not be wise to leave her outside in a fenced yard alone because if she got bored, she might start looking for a way to get out and find new friends. Leash walk with manners:  YES she actually walks nicely unless she sees something she wants to chase or get to Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’.  She would be a star in an obedience class.  She learns quickly. Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      Spayed/neutered:   YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES Microchipped:   YES Social with other dogs:  YES, but she will react if another dog gets in her face or gets ‘snarky’ with her - especially small, yappy dogs.  As she becomes a 'teenager' she is getting a little testy with smaller animals.  She would like being an only dog. Social with cats: Has not been around cats in foster home, but we feel sure she would be happy to chase any cat that ran.  Not sure if she would intend to hurt them, but a home with no cats would be better. Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.  Her size and energy might be overwhelming for younger/smaller children.  Adoption donation:  $250 We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. Pax came to us from a multiple-dog family, so he is good with other dogs. He's also great with the children in his foster home. He's looking for a forever home . . . how about yours? He is food motivated and an enthusiastic student when training. He rides comfortably in a car, is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has been surrounded by a loving foster family but his public exposure has been limited. Obedience classes would be great once he's comfortable in a new environment. They would reinforce the training he's had, and would widen his world, showing him unknown humans are a source of positive attention and rewards. Story
Meet Winston: The Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold! Well, howdy there! I'm Winston, and I'm not just a big guy; I've got a personality to match that's as grand as my size. At a whopping 105 pounds, I'm quite the gentle giant. Here's a bit about me: Excitement Overload: Let's Play Tug 'O War with Leashes! When it's time for walks, I can hardly contain my excitement. I've been known to mistake my leash for a tug 'o war opponent! I've been diligently working on breaking this habit with our kennel staff, and I'll need my future family to help continue the hard work. Toy Enthusiast: Big Stuffed Toys and Rope Toys Are Tops! Big stuffed toys and rope toys are my jam! They keep me entertained and bring out my playful side. Tug, fetch, or just some good old-fashioned chewing – I'm up for it all! Butt Rub Fanatic: Scratch That Itch! You want to make my day? Give me some butt rubs! I absolutely adore them, and they're my ticket to bliss. People Person: Hanging Out with You is the Best I'm a social butterfly, and I thrive on human company. Whether we're going for walks, playing with toys, or simply lounging around, I'm happiest when I'm with my people. Training Adventure: Learning to Walk Like a Pro Walking politely on a leash is a skill I'm still mastering. I might need a strong handler to help me with this, but I'm eager to learn and make progress every day. Ready for a Family: Could We Be a Perfect Match? Do I sound like I might be a good fit for your family? There's only one way to find out – come on by, and let's meet each other. I'm Winston, the big-hearted pit bull ready to bring joy, excitement, and plenty of tail wags into your home. Let's make memories together!
