Story
Meet Merle and Melvin, a bonded pair that grew up in a difficult situation. They are very timid and spook easily. However, they do not have a mean bone in their bodies. Patience is key with these doggies, because once they open up, they are loving and cuddly guys. Merle and Melvin will need leash training. And after they are established in your home, basic obedience training would benefit them immensely. The time and energy these dogs will need to heal will be a commitment. But we think with the right fit and dedicated owners, Merle and Melvin will blossom into amazing dogs! We will require several meet and greets before you are able to take them home as this will help you and the boys establish a bond before integrating them into your home. If you are interested in meeting these two love bugs, please call to make an appointment or if you have any questions pertaining to these doggies, ask for Emi. Extra Info on Merle and Melvin: Merle and Melvin were transferred to us from a different county on February 3rd of 2023. Due to abuse and neglect they were taken from their previous owners. They are very sensitive to loud noises or raised voices. They are also terrified of leashes. They do not like taking walks as it is a very scary experience. They would much prefer to run around in a big yard with their favorite people. Merle is the more outgoing of the two and Melvin gets courage from him. Once you have some patience and a calm demeanor, Merle and Melvin will be the most cuddly and loving dogs you will ever meet!

This poor old man looks like he is supposed to be a big dog, but had to reload half way through! He does live up his name as he is scruffy and scrappy, but his heart shows otherwise. He can be timid at first but give him some treats and he is your new best friend! Once this boy opens up he will show you how loyal and sweet he really is. Although he is older, he still enjoys some outside time with a nice walk followed by a sunbathing nap! Scruff is looking for a nice quiet household so he can live the rest of his doggie days out in peace. If your home is needing someone to take up some couch space, come meet Scruff today!

This guy is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover. T-rex had a rough time before coming to us and just needs the right person to see his gentle heart! Although he may act like a fool in his kennel, once he has his person he can trust there's nothing keeping him apart from you. T-rex is a lover and wants nothing more than a nice warm bed, plenty of yard space to let him roam, and a person who loves him just as much as he will love them. He would benefit from some manners and understanding the world outside, so socializing and getting him out and about will get him his adventuring fix. Don’t get me started on his love for food, and don't be surprised if he loves food more than you! Who could blame him? All in all this guy is looking to spread his love to anyone who will take it, so if you want some big ole T-Rex love, come meet him today!
