Story
Sweet Abby is sugar, spice, and everything nice. A perfect recipe of pure preciousness, she is a 5 year (DOB 3/30/2021-exact) orange and white female spayed purebred Brittany. Abby is up to date on all vaccines and a bonafide lovebug. Even though Abby needs a little weight loss, 65 lbs. is not her ideal weight, she is still remarkably close to perfection. Other than some excess weight, Abby is healthy. Abby is calm, eager to please, and extremely affectionate. She had been with her owners since she was a puppy, but unfortunately, one of the owners was having health issues and it was discovered she was allergic to dogs. Abby is housetrained, crate trained and has great house manners. She is very laid back and friendly to adults, as well as children. Abby loves to take rides in the car and will be your best friend. She is not extremely active and has a submissive personality. She is good with both dogs and cats. Because Abby is extremely food motivated, she will need help on her weight loss journey. According to Abby’s foster dad, she is a perfect candidate for an invisible fence. She pulls a little when walking on a leash, but nothing extreme. She enjoys walks with her foster dad and foster fur sibling multiple times a week. As a matter of fact, she has lost some weight over the brief time she has been at her foster home. With food portion management and regular exercise, Abby will be at an ideal weight in no time. Are you looking for a wonderful adult Brittany to join your family? Abby is your gal! Abby’s adoption fee is $350, and she is being fostered in middle north Tennessee. Just a reminder that NBRAN will transport adopted dogs to their approved homes up to 1400 miles, with the adopter being responsible for the last approximately 100 miles. If you are interested in adopting Abby, please contact Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com  OR Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.comJuly 21, 2026, 4:42 pm

Story
Meet Gus, a handsome 7-year-old male purebred brittany, who is looking for his forever home. Gus was a stray dog who found himself in a shelter. He was heartworm positive, but has completed treatment. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. Gus has a heart full of love and is always ready to share his joyful spirit with everyone he meets. His most favorite activity is going on walks and he loves to greet every person and dog that he sees. He is still working on some leash manners, but is very smart and seems to understand commands such as stay, wait and drop it. He also loves to spend time outside in the backyard hunting critters. He is looking for a home with a fenced yard as well as another dog for a companion. He enjoys playing with toys and has a knack for making people smile with his cheerful demeanor. Gus is a velcro boy and loves to be close to his humans.  He does well with other dogs and kids, but not cats.  He would prefer an active home with someone who can be home most of the time. He is crate trained, but will bark for the first 5-10 minutes before quieting down.  He is housebroken and rides well in a car. He is also a good patient at the vet.  Gus is eager to find a forever family who will cherish his companionship and give him the love he so readily gives.  Gus is located in eastern NC and can be transported up to 1400 miles away, with the adopter driving the last 100 miles.  His adoption fee is $350 to help offset some medical expenses.  Please submit an adoption application at www.nbran.org and mention his name. Story
Blaine is a 5 year old tricolor mix who is 25 pounds of cuteness.  He was removed from a hoarding situation with two of his brothers. The boys were together their whole life and became dependent on each other. After a gradual separation process, Blaine is done with the drama and ready to strike out on his own!    Having some time on his own, his personality is beginning to show.  He is experiencing independence for the first time and seems pretty proud of himself. Blaine is very affectionate, but also likes his own space. He holds his head high and moves with guarded confidence.  Blaine is determined to fake it ‘till he makes it. Give this boy a chance. Watch him evolve and become the dog he was meant to be.  He is eager to please and walks well on leash.  Blaine is up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative, on preventative meds & microchipped . A home with a  physical fence would be best as Blaine loves to just run & sniff around. He would be great as an only dog or with another. He has never been around cats or children, but is a gentle boy.  Blaine is crate & house trained. Are you ready to open your heart and home for a wonderful companion? If so, please consider filling out an adoption application and mention Blaine at NBRAN.org.    Blaine’s adoption fee is $275 to offset vetting costs. He is currently located in North Georgia, but can be transported up to 1400 miles, with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles. If you interested in giving Blaine his furever home, please reach out to Karen Carr at kecarr72@icloud.com.   July 21, 2026, 4:42 pm
