Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  April 25, 2024, 2:30 pm

Story
Introducing Sadie!  Sadie is a cuddle bug that is 9 years old.  She's a beautiful liver and white female brittany, weighing about 37 pounds. Sadie loves the freedom to run without a leash and run the fence perimeter.  She would love to chase rabbits and squirrels.  She walks fairly well on a lead or harness, but is still a big puller.   A physical fenced yard is a must for her, as she needs space to run.   She is very loyal and watches over her person.  She loves chew toys.  She is ok with other dogs as long as they don’t rush to her face.  Sadie would do best as an only dog Sadie is housebroken and low maintenance. She prefers to stay home, with a comfy dog bed. She likes to be petted and have space to run off her energy.  Sadie is heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped.  She doesn't mind getting bathed or towel dried. If  you are looking for a great family pet that likes to travel in the car, golf cart  or patrol the perimeter of the fenced yard / property she is your girl.  She will keep the bunnies and squirrels from eating your flowers and shrubs on your fenced property.  She will need a four-to-five-foot fence.  Sadie loves being outside with her people but enjoys the comfort of dog beds and bed pillows to grab a nap in between bird watching out the window and running outside. Please consider opening your heart and home to Sadie!  Sadie's adoption fee is $350.  Please complete an adoption application at www.nbran.org and specify her name.  She is currently located in northwestern Georgia  and is available to be transported up to 1400 miles, with the adopter driving the last 100 miles approximately.   If you are interested in giving Sadie her forever home, please reach out to LeslieTrenta@leslie@leslietrentadesigns.com     April 25, 2024, 2:30 pm

Story
Meet Bruno, a sweet and energetic 2 year old neutered tri-colored male Brittany currently in a great foster home in Western New York who is dreaming of a Home of his very Own!  Bruno came into NBRAN through no fault of his own, when his previous family realized that they did not have the time to devoted to Bruno or his littermate who was also surrendered to NBRAN, while raising a young family too.   Bruno’s foster says he enjoys going on long walks to exploring the city, sunbathing outside, playing with his ball, and snuggling up for a good movie night. She also says that even though Bruno grew up with a littermate sister, he loves all of the attention on him as an only pup, but probably wouldn’t mind having a playmate around too. Bruno is super smart and learns commands quickly. He already knows sit, stay, and "where's my kiss?”.  Bruno is housetrained and enjoys sleeping at his Foster Mom’s feet while she works from home. Bruno is great with children and other dogs, but cats are unknown. Bruno has been known to be a bit vocal at times, especially when trying to meet new furry friends, but his foster Mom says he can be easily re-directed and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.  Bruno also NEEDS a fenced in yard to run and play as he is still young moderately active and has true "Brittany instincts." Bruno also gets excited on walks and tends to pull a bit, but can easily be corrected and slow down to enjoy the scenery too. His foster Mom also Warns, Bruno loves to sneak kisses on you! Bruno is completely up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, micro chipped and neutered, so now all that’s missing is a place to call Home Forever! Is that your home? If so, please consider filling out an application online at: http://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application, Once you application is received the coordinator in the State where you reside will be in touch to follow-up. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here http://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators . Bruno’s adoption fee is $400.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brit like Bruno back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in Western New York or close by, No Problem!  NBRAN also has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Bruno to his new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Still have questions? Contact New York coordinators, Deb MacSherry at debmacsherry53@gmail.com or Jean Rand at jrand13@gmail.com, thank you!   April 25, 2024, 2:30 pm
