Meet Petal — a sweet, spayed female who looks like a mini chocolate Labrador and weighs about 35 lbs. Petal is gentle and loving, and she’s already showing potty-trained behavior and knows “sit.” She is affectionate and a little needy — she’ll whine for attention and may jump up when excited, so a home ready to give lots of love and consistent training is a great fit. Petal can be a littler nervous and scared in new situations, so we also recommend a home with no small children, but a home with no children or older children able to respect a dog`s boundaries would be a good fit for Petal. Petal tolerates other dogs but prefers calm company; she does best as the only dog or with an older, low-energy canine who won’t be pushy or jumpy. Ideal home: someone who can offer patient attention, gentle boundaries, regular walks, and show Petal she won`t be abandoned again.If you’re ready to add a loving, chocolatey lab look-a-like companion to your home, Petal would love to meet you! Maple is a 4-year-old spayed Springer Spaniel / Foxhound mix with a gentle, sensitive soul. She is extremely loving and people-oriented, enjoys playing fetch, swimming, and going to the beach, and does well in doggy daycare and other neutral environments. In a multi-dog home, Maple has developed anxiety-based guarding behaviors toward another dog during high-arousal moments (such as arrivals or tight shared spaces). Because of this, we believe she would thrive best as an only dog in a calm, low-stress, adult home where she can feel secure and relaxed. Maple is not aggressive toward people, bonds deeply with her person, and sleeps well through the night. She takes daily fluoxetine for anxiety under veterinary supervision and is otherwise healthy. This is a heartbreaking decision made with her well-being in mind. Maple deserves a home where she can be the center of attention and truly flourish, and we are committed to finding the right, loving fit for her.
