Story
Briar is a fun, playful dog who loves playing fetch and running around outside. He’s energetic and enjoys active playtime once he warms up to you. He’s highly motivated by treats and trains very easily, making him a great candidate for someone who enjoys working with a smart, responsive dog. He has lived in his current home since he was an eight-week-old puppy (he is now about 5 years old). Briar is a somewhat nervous and sensitive dog by nature. He does best in calm environments where his boundaries are respected and he isn’t placed in situations that cause him stress or anxiety. While he can warm up to people and form strong bonds, he may react defensively if startled or if he feels uncomfortable. He generally prefers not to be around young children and would thrive best in a child-free home where he can receive consistent, focused attention and live in a predictable, low-stress environment.
