Story
Hi. My name is Pete. I'm a 4-year-old, orange and white Brittany who was born with cataracts in both eyes: then I went blind.    When I was blind, I engaged in compulsive repetitive  behaviors, such as spinning, barking, and pica (eating non-food items). I had successful eye surgery and now I can see again.  As a result of me regaining my vision, I acquired a new compulsive behavior; eyeing light and shadows. Fortunately, with the help of my medication, my compulsive behaviors, with the exception of pica,  have improved a greatly.    My favorite toy is a black Kong. My foster mom thought it would be good for me because I can't bite through it. I love to fetch and retrieve and could do it all day long. B eing able to see is such a blessing.  If I have trouble finding my Kong, I'm good at a game called Hot and Cold. I respond well to the command  "leave it!" when I find something I want to put in my mouth. I listen well to the command "drop!" when I put an object in my mouth. I weigh 35 lb and I like to stay active. Maybe my foster mom could teach me how to wiggle my tush to  "Nothing But a Hound Dog."   I am not picky about what I eat and will try to swallow anything I put in my mouth. Because I like to swallow everything, I should not be left unsupervised.  When I get anxious, a soothing white noise helps me to stay calm.    I do not get along with other dogs and probably not cats. I have never been around children. I am not sure if I would get along with them or not.    I am a great  leash walker and have perfect recall. I'm up to date on all my vaccines and, other than requiring my eye drops once a day, I am in good health.    I love to ride in the car and watch the world go by as I look out the window.  I am eager to please and will do anything my foster mom ask of me.   I am a happy dog and when I'm tired I love to sit and cuddle in my foster mom's lap.    I'm very thankful for all the care I have received. It has been done with devotion by the people at nbran. I hope that soon I will be in a permanent home with a loving family.     I will need to take my eye drops for the rest of my life, When my foster mother tells me "Chin,"  I rest my head in her hand so she can put the drops in my eyes. My adoption Fee is $400 to help offset my medical expenses and to allow NBRAN to rescue other Brittanys.    NBRAN will provide transportation, up to 1400 miles, to my new approved home.  For more information about me contact Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com or Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.comApril 9, 2025, 2:23 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Woody. I am a 3 year-old liver and white Brittany mix with a tail and weigh 40 lbs, I am healthy and need no medications. In addition to being very smart and very friendly, I am crate trained and housetrained.  I don't particularly like other dogs and should probably be an only dog. But can I can get along with them. Cats are most likely not a good idea.  I would get along great with children. Like me, they have wonderful imaginations.   My favorite toy is my chew bone. In my previous home I picked up the bad habit of taking away toys away  from other dogs and try and keep them for myself. In my new home, I need consistent structure and limits to help me learn good manners.   I know lots of commands and follow these commands when asked.  I love to play, have fun and would love a family that would play with me. I am neutered, up to date on my vaccines & preventatives and heartworm negative.  I want a permanent home where I will be forever loved & forever safe.. My adoption fee is $350 and  NBRAN will transport me up to 1400 miles to my new approved homes, with adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles. Could you be my perfect home? Story
Sonia came from an older man who is no longer able to care for her. His son rescued her in Mexico when she was a puppy and she journeyed by car with him to his fathers house in Florida. Unfortunately, his son got a job elsewhere and left the dog with his father. Two years later, and trying really hard to take care of her he realized she needed to be with a family who has the time and energy for her.Sonia is super sweet, playful, and has a lot of energy. She gets along with both of my dogs, but is not sure of my cat. She bothers him a lot by sniffing and yelping at him. Her fur is super soft and she does shed! She is a great eater, is crate trained, walks well on a lead and harness and she does know some commands: come, sit, paw, and lay down. When she is real excited she does jump, Im currently trying to work on that with her. She will need a backyard with a fence to run around in. She is 2 years old, weighs 25lbs, shots are up to date, and is on Simparico Trio. Adoption is $150.
