Story
Socialization: Tango LOVES people! He gets very excited and wants to say hello. He has not been around children, but we expect he would do well since he loves everyone. He would probably jump on small children as he is still a puppy and learning boundaries! He is very friendly and playful with other dogs! He is more a middle of the road dog, not submissive or dominant. He has not been around cats. Training:  He is still young and learning. He does know "come" but can have selective hearing, LOL. Since he is still a puppy, he would do best in a crate when not monitored for his own safety. Tango will need some house training, and since he is a puppy, he chews his toys and has mostly outgrown chewing on things he shouldn't, but he is still learning. Activity requirements:  Tango needs a fenced yard or daily visit to a dog park! He has a lot of energy to burn off. Leash walks may be sufficient if his new family runs or is committed to a few miles multiple times/day. He would do well in doggy daycare too!! He loves the flirt pole at the ranch. He will need engagement and stimulation. Fence requirements:  A fenced yard is preferred. If there is no fence, he will need a very solid exercise plan daily. Invisible fence may also be an option for him. Personality:  Tango is goofy, happy, and playful! He's also very affectionate. He loves playing and cuddling on the couch. He is very social and playful. Health history:  There are no medical issues for Tango! He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly heartworm prevention. His next Leishmaniasis test is due Mar 31, 2027. This dog originates from Greece where Leishmaniasis is endemic. They tested negative before coming to the USA, but the parasite can remain dormant in the system for many years, so potential adopters must be willing to commit to annual testing for the next 7 years. Typically, the test needs to be sent to a special lab, but any regular vet can draw the blood and send it to the lab. The cost of the test seems to vary widely by area, but is approximately $150-$250. or if your vet is willing to send the test to a veterinary college lab, cost can be as low as $80. Foster comments:  Tango is a sweet little Brittany mix puppy! He has so much love and energy to give! A family that will give him the love and exercise/playtime that he deserves would be wonderful! Foster location: Kalamazoo, MI Transport note: We are able to arrange volunteer transport to get dogs from their foster home to their adopter as long as the adopter and the foster are within a 1,000 mile radius of each other and the adopter is located in the USA. If the adopter is more than 1,000 miles from the foster home, adoption would only be possible if the adopter is willing to drive the distance beyond the 1,000-mile transport limit. Long distance adoptions may also be possible if the adopter is willing to pay for a flight to get their dog from the foster home to their location if the foster feels this is an appropriate arrangement for the specific dog. Canadian adopters would have to drive into the USA to pick up their dog, as we do not transport outside of the USA. ##2724682##

Story
Socialization:  Paso is very friendly, playful, happy and well socialized. He is more dominant rather than submissive. He has not met children, but he loves everyone - he would have a tendency to knock small children down when excited. He has not met any cats. Training:  Paso knows "come" but can have selective hearing. He will need be crated for his own safety when he is alone - as he is a puppy. Paso will need a little work on housebreaking - possibly related to not being neutered yet. Still has puppy behaviors, so will need to be monitored for chewing, etc. Activity requirements:  Paso is an energetic puppy that needs exercise and focused playtime. He has the energy of a typical sporting dog puppy. Burst of energy followed by naptime. Short, casual leash walks are not sufficient for him. He will need playtime in a fenced yard, doggy day care or dog park daily to burn off his energy. Fence requirements:  Fence is preferred, but as long as he has daily access to runs with a human or off-leash time at a doggy day care, Sniff spot or dog park daily, a fence would not be required. An invisible fence may also be an option for him. Personality:  Paso enjoys playing and running - he is happy, social and confident! He has a fearless personality. He can be independent while playing with doggy friends, but loves to have a cuddle with his humans. Health history:  Paso is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly heartworm prevention. Paso has partial cryptorchidism - 1 testicle has descended and the other has not. The rescue will work with the adopter and cover the cost of neutering/surgery if the 2nd testicle does not descend. Foster comments: Paso is a goofy and happy sporting dog puppy! He's very typical for a sporting dog - loves other dogs, people and attention. He also loves belly rubs! Paso needs an active home who will give him the activity and stimulation that he needs. Foster location: Kalamazoo, MI Transport note: We are able to arrange volunteer transport to get dogs from their foster home to their adopter as long as the adopter and the foster are within a 1,000 mile radius of each other and the adopter is located in the USA.
