Story
Hi. My name is Pete. I'm a 4-year-old, orange and white Brittany who was born with cataracts in both eyes: then I went blind.    When I was blind, I engaged in compulsive repetitive  behaviors, such as spinning, barking, and pica (eating non-food items). I had successful eye surgery and now I can see again.  As a result of me regaining my vision, I acquired a new compulsive behavior; eyeing light and shadows. Fortunately, with the help of my medication, my compulsive behaviors, with the exception of pica,  have improved a greatly.    My favorite toy is a black Kong. My foster mom thought it would be good for me because I can't bite through it. I love to fetch and retrieve and could do it all day long. B eing able to see is such a blessing.  If I have trouble finding my Kong, I'm good at a game called Hot and Cold. I respond well to the command  "leave it!" when I find something I want to put in my mouth. I listen well to the command "drop!" when I put an object in my mouth. I weigh 35 lb and I like to stay active. Maybe my foster mom could teach me how to wiggle my tush to  "Nothing But a Hound Dog."   I am not picky about what I eat and will try to swallow anything I put in my mouth. Because I like to swallow everything, I should not be left unsupervised.  When I get anxious, a soothing white noise helps me to stay calm.    I do not get along with other dogs and probably not cats. I have never been around children. I am not sure if I would get along with them or not.    I am a great  leash walker and have perfect recall. I'm up to date on all my vaccines and, other than requiring my eye drops once a day, I am in good health.    I love to ride in the car and watch the world go by as I look out the window.  I am eager to please and will do anything my foster mom ask of me.   I am a happy dog and when I'm tired I love to sit and cuddle in my foster mom's lap.    I'm very thankful for all the care I have received. It has been done with devotion by the people at nbran. I hope that soon I will be in a permanent home with a loving family.     I will need to take my eye drops for the rest of my life, When my foster mother tells me "Chin,"  I rest my head in her hand so she can put the drops in my eyes. My adoption Fee is $400 to help offset my medical expenses and to allow NBRAN to rescue other Brittanys.    NBRAN will provide transportation, up to 1400 miles, to my new approved home.  For more information about me contact Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com or Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.comApril 9, 2025, 2:23 pm

They are: •          House trained •          Crate trained •          Rarely bark •          Have excellent house manners They get along wonderfully with kids, other dogs, and even cats. Their only “flaw”? They get so excited to see people that they sometimes jump up to say hello—which is just part of their sweet, affectionate nature. Whether it’s lounging indoors or quietly keeping an eye on squirrels and chipmunks in the yard, Piper and Lucy are easygoing and content. Most of all, they just want to be near their people.   Meet Piper Piper is a liver and white Brittany with a big heart and gentle soul. She loves cuddling, giving kisses, carrying around soft squeaky toys. and being close to her people. Whether she's perched on your lap or scanning the woods for movement, she’s always content—as long as she’s with you.  Outgoing and affectionate, Piper thrives in a peaceful, loving environment. She can be a little nervous during big storms or fireworks but handles it well if she has a safe, cozy spot nearby. Meet Lucy Lucy is an orange and white Brittany full of joyful energy and sweet affection. She loves to cuddle, play with her stuffies, and run big joyful zoomies in the yard. Treats are her favorite—in fact, she’d probably commit a few minor crimes to get extra ones! Story
Please contact Marie for more information about this pet.If you are looking a well behaved boy who would love to nothing more than to hunt, then Maverick, age 4, is your guy! He had previously hunted for pheasants and was an excellent hunter according to his previous owner.  He is e-collar trained and has excellent recall.  Due to his love for hunting, it will be important that his forever home has the ability to hunt him while also being a family dog.  He also loves  prowling the yard for critters and chewing on bones. He knows sit, stay, down, shake.   Maverick likes to lay off by himself on the couch.  He is not a cuddler, but he does on occasion jump on your lap for a few minutes to get his belly rubbed which he absolutely loves!  He is a good rider in the car, pontoon boat and UTV. He is very well trained and would be an asset to any family.  Hi, Maverick here! If you are looking for your next hunting partner, I am the guy for you.  I am very well-behaved and an excellent listener.  I love to just chill on the couch when I am not outside either hunting or scoping the yard or lake for anything that might move.  I absolutely love my belly rubs and treats.  I also love my daily car ride and when you just mention that, I am running in circles and talking to you to let me know I really want to go.  I would love to be your hunting companion.  I’ll admit... leash walking is not my strength, but hey, nobody’s perfect.  I am a very smart and loving boy. Maverick will need daily exercise with his new family as well as lots of love and attention. Maverick would be most happy in a home that has somebody that is an avid hunter and will be his buddy that brings him with wherever he goes for the most part.  He is used to being with his playmate Bentley, who is also up for adoption.  If you go outside without him, he will howl, he is happiest when he is able to hunt.  He does not get kenneled when the fosters leave and there have been no problems as long as all blankets are put away.  He’s been checked from nose to tail and is up to date on all his vaccines, micro-chipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative meds.  Now all that’s missing is his Furever Home! The adoption fee for MN/Maverick, who is currently being fostered in WI is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making MN/Maverick part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the Hallie Barbara, the MN and WI State Coordinator at minnesotabrittany@gmail.com and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Maverick.  Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.July 7, 2025, 8:08 pm

Story
Meet Denver – Your Loyal, Big-Hearted Shadow Denver is a 7-year-old liver and white male Brittany with a gentle soul and an even bigger heart—he’s also a big boy at 64 lbs and working on losing about 15 more pounds to reach his ideal weight. This sweet, affectionate guy is the perfect blend of mellow maturity and loyal companionship. Denver is a true Velcro dog—he always wants to know where his humans and cats are, and he’ll be right by your side wherever you go. At night, he sleeps in bed with his foster mom, content just being close. He gets along beautifully with his foster dog sisters and the resident cats and is a respectful presence around the house. He’s not crate trained, but he doesn’t need to be—Denver is completely trustworthy when left alone. He won’t get into anything or cause trouble while you’re away. Foster mom says Denver needs to learn to be quiet when she leaves the house. He can be very vocal and unhappy when alone, but he eventually settles down. . He definitely lets you know he’s not a fan of being solo! Denver also has a spirited side when it comes to squirrels. If he spots one, watch out! He goes all-in on chasing them and can get a little vocal inside the house until the squirrel is out of sight. He loves car rides and is known to sneak into the front seat whenever he gets the chance—he just wants to be as close as possible to his humans! Despite his vocal moments, Denver has a playful side! He loves to play ball—just don’t expect him to bring it back! He prefers a game of chase and thinks it’s hilarious when you come after him. He also knows exactly where the toy basket is and won’t hesitate to empty it one toy at a time to find his favorite. Regular walks and a fenced yard to stretch his legs will help Denver stay healthy and happy as he works on his weight. After some outdoor fun, he’s more than ready to snuggle up for a good nap. Denver would thrive in a home that offers companionship, gentle structure, and lots of love. He’s already a pro at being a loyal, low-maintenance companion—you just need to meet him to see it. If you think Denver would be a great addition to your family, please reach out to Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Deb Tuthill at agilitybrits@gmail.com NBRAN will transport adopted dogs up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last approximately 100 miles.  Fostered in Northern Kentucky Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped  July 1, 2025, 4:15 pm

Story
Bentley is a 4 ½ year old, male, Brittany who loves prowling the yard for critters and curling up on his foster Mom’s lap.  He loves to play tug and wrestle with his foster family’s dog and chew on bones.  He knows sit, stay, down, shake, but is still working on not jumping on people and licking (kissing) them.  His previous owner sent him to training and is supposed to be a good hunter for pheasants.  With the way he is in his fosters yard, he sure seems like he would be.  He is e-collar trained and has excellent recall.  Bentley loves cuddling with people, especially on the couch and bed.  He is a good rider in the car, pontoon boat and UTV.  He is very well trained and would be an asset to any family.  He has very soft nails which split very easily and will need special care when taking care of his nails.  The foster can go over the details. HI, I’m Bentley. I am very loving and easy going, and would love to be your companion!  My foster Mom calls me her curious George.  I always have to stick my head in any grocery bags to see what might be in there.  If she sits down, I am always on her lap and I can’t avoid giving her many kisses.  In fact, most of the time she needs to tell me that is enough.  My foster parents let me sleep in bed with them.  I love to chase balls, I sometimes don’t like to bring them back, but I will drop them so you can throw it again. I’ll admit... leash walking is not my strength, but hey, nobody’s perfect.  I am a very smart and loving boy. Bentley will need daily exercise with his new family as well as lots of love and attention. Bentley would be most happy in a home that has somebody with him most of the time as he is very attached to his humans and doesn’t like it when he is not with you.  Because he is used to being with his playmate (Maverick who is also up for adoption), he would do best if he were adopted into a home with another dog to play with.  Bentley loves to play with other dogs. The adoption fee for MN/Bentley, who is currently being fostered in WI is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making MN/Bentley part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the Hallie Barbara, the MN and WI State Coordinator at minnesotabrittany@gmail.com and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Bentley.  Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.July 7, 2025, 8:08 pm
