Brooke is new to Great Plains Pointer Rescue and is settling in while she finishes her vetting. She will be ready to meet her forever family soon. So far, Brooke has shown that she is great with other dogs and does well with children. She is affectionate, loves attention, and wants to be close to her people. She does have some athletic ability and has shown interest in jumping a fence, so she will need a secure six foot fence, invisible fencing, or a structured exercise plan to keep her safely contained and fulfilled. Arrow has officially arrived and is settling into foster care. He is decompressing, learning the routine, and showing us what a sweet soul he is. We are completing comprehensive veterinary diagnostics to better understand his medical needs, including evaluation related to a reported history of seizures. As with all new arrivals, we want a clear picture so we can make informed decisions about how to best support him long term. Arrow also needs to add some groceries. He is underweight and will be focusing on rest, good nutrition, and steady weight gain while we learn more about him. In the home, he is crate trained and doing well with structure. He is what we would call a stage five clinger in the best possible way. He bonds quickly, seeks out affection, and wants to be near his people at all times. If you are looking for a constant companion, Arrow is already applying for the position. Stay tuned for more updates on this loving boy as we continue to learn about him and help him feel his best.
