Story
We are looking to re-home our dog, Seymour. As our family continues to grow, we’ve realized Seymour just isn’t thriving in a busy, kid-filled environment. He’s around 9–10 years old, house trained, and overall a pretty calm but anxious dog who does best with his own space. He’s not aggressive, but he has nipped when little ones get in his space too much, so he’d really do best in a quieter home without small kids (or with older, respectful ones). We love him and want what’s best for him, and right now that means finding him a home that fits him better. I’ll send him with all of his supplies, including his crate.

Story
Stunning ARNOLD is a sweet timid boy looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a beagle/brittany mix. He's around 2 years old and fully grown at 26 pounds. Arnold has been with us about a month, decompressing in his foster home. It's taken him a bit of time to figure out that he's safe and people are kind. He's come a long way and is ready to find his furever home. If you're looking for a dog who will immediately jump in your lap and kiss you all over the moment you meet, Arnold isn't the dog for you. But if you are patient and willing to spend a day or two earning his trust, he will love you with all of his heart. Arnold needs a calm home with a friendly, confident dog who will help him navigate his new life. He's housebroken, crate trained and fine with kitties. He requires a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Arnold, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Arnold at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
We adopted Charley back in September 2022 through Paw Patrol. He’s around 10-12 years old now, which he was a rescue from Kentucky and brought to Dayton. Charley has boundless needs for affection, and needs a home with never ending snuggles and a comfy couch! He is a vocal fellow when you egg him on to sing with you, and an excellent companion in the back seat of a car. He enjoys running in a big open yard with plenty of space, but mainly lounges on a comfy cushion. He responds well to other household animals (cats and dogs), but gets very excited and vocal around new faces. If you’re looking for a sitting buddy through his senior years, Charley is the dog for you!
