Story
Meet Dottie - a joyful, resilient soul with a heart full of love to give. Dottie came to us under heartbreaking circumstances after her beloved owner passed away. With no family able to provide the care she needed, Dottie was at risk of euthanasia—until we stepped in to give her a second chance. And what a gift it’s been to get to know this special girl. Despite the upheaval in her life, Dottie's loving and cheerful spirit shines through. She greets each new day with a wagging tail and a heart full of affection. Whether she’s meeting new people or soaking in the sunshine, her happy-go-lucky demeanor is simply contagious. Like many of us, Dottie has her quirks. Car rides make her a little uneasy, and she can be cautious in unfamiliar situations. But once she feels safe, her true personality blossoms—playful, cuddly, and oh-so-sweet. Her dream day? A long nap on a soft bed followed by her absolute favourite thing in the world: belly rubs! Dottie has had positive experiences with children, though her enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much—so a home with teens or older would be best. Medically, Dottie is on the mend and receiving the care she needs. Dottie is on a liver supplement to manage previously elevated liver enzymes, which have since stabilized. Ongoing bloodwork will be important to continue monitoring these levels. Dottie is ready to start her next chapter—a chapter filled with love, stability, and the warmth of a forever family. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will adore you endlessly, Dottie may be the perfect fit.

Story
Frankie arrived in Canada from St Lucia about a year ago and has been adored from day one. He’s a gentle, cheerful, cuddly little guy who loves people with his whole heart. Due to changes in his previous home — more people, more pups, more bustle — Frankie found himself overwhelmed. Now he’s looking for his forever family, where he can be the only dog in the household and get his people’s undivided attention. He’s doing brilliantly in his current foster home and is a quick, willing learner. Frankie has a rare but manageable immune-related skin condition (ischaemic dermatopathy). It’s not contagious and is controlled with medication, supplements, and sun protection. Flare-ups can happen with intense sun exposure, stress, or vaccinations, sometimes causing minor hair loss. He just needs a caring family committed to his ongoing care and regular check-ups. If you want a loyal little shadow who’ll love you endlessly, Frankie might be your perfect match!
