Story
Chip is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to give hugs and kisses-and he's especially fond of leaning in close for cuddles. He's gentle with kids and adores people, though he may take a moment to warm up to new faces. Chip already knows basic commands like "sit" and "down". He can be a bit mouthy at times and will need someone who can be consistent and firm (but loving) in helping him understand boundaries. With the right guidance, Chip has the potential to be an amazing, loyal companion. Come meet him or fill out an application here, http://tinyurl.com/ORAS-Adoption-Application Primary Color: White Age: 2yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
*** Courtesy Post *** Hi! My name is Gorda. It’s a term of endearment in the Hispanic culture. That means my foster mommy loves me and thinks I’m a cute and chunky female puppers. Many say I’m a mixed micro bully of sorts. I love to play tug-of-war, and my foster mom says I’m really good at it! I’m obsessed with chewing on my bone - I can probably do this for hours!  I enjoy going for short walks and laying in the grass. I may even chase a butterfly if it flutters by! Every now and then I’ll get the zoomies and run around without a care in the world. I’m ready to love and be loved!    The Basics Age: 2 Years Weight: 50 LBS Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: yes  Vaccines Up-to-Date: yes  On Heartworm Prevention: TBD  House-Trained: yes  Crate-Trained: Yes Leash Skills: Good. She does pull a bit but corrects herself for the most part when asked to stop and come back.  Medical: Overheats easy. Has skin condition/allergy. Possible allergy to chicken. Currently on Sensitive Skin and Stomach Dry food.  Likes/Dislikes Toys: Benebone. Playing tug-o-war. Plushies. Crunch Carrot.  Other Animals: Oaky with dogs but may be a toy hogger. Seems to do okay with cats. Doesn’t act aggressively towards them, more curious. Has not had unsupervised close contact.  People/Kids: Needs time to adjust to new people but once she gets to know you, she is comfortable (especially if you have treats!) Car Rides: Okay with car rides. Jumps into the car but gets very anxious and takes a while to settle down.  Separation: She seems okay with separation. She stays calmly in her crate and doesn’t fuss or try to get out.    Contact/Application Info Questions? Contact his/her foster, Jennifer, at Jennifer.meneses@hotmail.com or 305-905-3122. Story
Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  *Due to rescuer being very ill, all her dogs are in desperate need!!! Greetings! My name is Poe! My best friend, Fluffy, and I were allowed to wander the streets. Our owner just didn't care. Fluffy was pregnant at the time. Our rescuer begged for her to be able to come into rescue. So, our owner dumped Fluffy and unexpectedly and luckily dumped me too! I am absolutely adorable with the cutest underbite that makes me look like I am forever smiling. We are both about three to four years old and I weigh about thirty-five pounds. We are the friendliest duo and are exceptionally loving! We adore people and other doggies. We do love children but Fluffy can get excitable, so small children may get overwhelmed. We are true buddies. You will always find us hanging out together. We enjoy adventures and would follow you to the ends of the earth. All you have to do is make us yours! Love,Poe & Fluffy *Guest Posting**Discount for two!***Adoption Fee $275 for both If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you can't get it to work, tell us and we will email it to you.ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. November 1, 2024, 8:13 pm
