Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted 12/13/17 and pictures taken 11/29/17.  He keeps his ears down when I try to get more videos of him, so I have not updated his pictures yet.  I picked Axel up from the Smith County, TX Animal Shelter on 11/29/17.  He had been picked up on CR 3140 on 11/8/17 weighing 30 pounds, and estimated to be 4 years old.  He was scared in the kennel at the shelter.  Once out of the kennel, he was in my lap licking my face while I was signing his release papers, good on a leash, and likes going for rides.  I have let him run around several of my dogs with no problems, but he can act dominant to some other male dogs.  He was neutered on 1/5/2018.  He does not like being inside a home, so he requires a fenced yard with shelter, and although I put him on my lap at the shelter, he is not a lap dog.  He does jump on my leg to get my attention to pet him. He was heartworm positive when I got him from the shelter, and has been on heartworm prevention since, so he should be negative by now using the slow kill treatment. Story
Athena is a very lovable dog, who absolutely loves pets from everyone she encounters. She plays fetch but her favorite game is playing tug. She's all about tugging toys with her owner. She's a confident dog who loves out door adventures. Shes a well tempered dog all around, has never bitten another dog or human and is not territorial. Shes been raised along side her brother who's shares the same training, while they are littermates they both have been trained separately to ease or remove any separation anxiety issues. Athena has been properly trained to walk in heel, she understands both Spanish and English commands. She's highly food motivated for easier additional training. Athena is also trained to potty on command as well as feeding on command. If kept up, she also knows to sit at the door and wait for the "okay" command before stepping out of the door. We've trained her to not jump on people for safety reasons. She's also trained to stay off of furniture. Athena is 1 year and 6 mo
