Hello! My name is Koda Bear! I am a 2-year-old mastiff mix, not yet neutered (but will be once adopted), I am fully vaccinated, and microchipped! Unfortunately, my family does not have time for me and is looking for a better home for me. I get along great with families especially children and love to be around people! I am very calm around other doggies and I am good on leash. I also enjoy cuddling! So if you are looking for a cuddle buddy, I'm your guy!!! My family says I'm very food motivated and therefor a fast learner! Hope to meet you soon! please consider adopting me!!! Please contact my rescue here: 562-328-5276 (Text or call)

Story
Great guard dog he belonged to our daughter who went to the air force. Dog is too big and not getting the attention it needs. It stays outside so he is not trained to be an indoor pet I don't recommend children being around him due its size and playful nature that may be possible to bump, step on, or drop a smaller person. Darwin, has basic training and is ok waling with a leash, he recently started getting a bit aggressive when being walked and other dogs are around. Normally he is calm and likes to be around people. We want to find a new home for him because no one is around to take care of him or walk him and play with him. He is does come from a champion bread and has papers. I do not know if he will be good with other dogs since hes been alone in our back yard for a while and the way he gets when walking and other dogs are around. I hope whoever adopts him has experience with large dogs.

Story
Courtesy Post: Please email animalarmyla@gmail.com for more info. Meet Cjay- Goof, derp, lover of life. Cjay’s loving, loyal, funny – he’s a tongue flopping, trotting next to you kind of bestie. He’s a great hybrid dog who loves to enjoy the great outdoors and go on walks, play ball, bike ride and hike. But he also is a chill couch potato who likes to cozy in and watch TV. Everyone who meets Cjay falls in love with him – he’s one of those dogs who doesn’t lack for personality haha and keeps you laughing. Cjay’s not the right dog for everyone and that’s ok. But for a family who are strong leaders with a kind heart, Cjay is the PERFECT pup. In the words of his trainer: “Cjay’s life reminds me of an old childhood movie All Dogs Go to Heaven, a story about redemption, love, and second chances. He wasn’t always the big teddy bear he is today. In fact he was the complete opposite – rough around the edges shaped by fear and survival where fighting was his only instinct, a life he never chose but was forced to live. But somehow, through it all, he learned to love. Now, he’s like a kid who never outgrew his favorite stuffed animal, he’s always seeking connection and giving his whole heart. When I look at him, and see through his droopy eyes, I see a second chance at life, a world where it means to be kind, to trust, and to find joy in the little things. I never really thought much of it, but when I see Cjay run like the wind on his morning bike rides or go barreling into the bushes in the open fields, there’s something very poetic about the way he lives. It’s always the small things that make him happy, the unlikeliest of places like finding a patch of grass and rolling around like it’s the greatest treasure in the world. In those moments, he reminds me that happiness doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s in the simple and honest things that show the true meaning of happiness that show even the deepest scars can heal, and even the roughest beginnings can lead to something beautiful.” But what’s incredible about Cjay like his trainer so eloquently says, is that in spite of everything he’s been through, his joy for life outshines all. And what’s unique about Cjay’s situation is that he has already done the work and is a super well trained dog. No need to invest in expensive board and trains, we’ll teach you what Cjay already knows and provide continued support for consistency, but he’s home ready thanks to his willingness to learn :) He’s more than earned the stability and ease and comfort of home and family Cjay’s willingness to learn and hard work have made him SO ready for a home. The only bright side of being in left in limbo is that Cjay was left at first in a great in depth board and train program for over half of the past two years (and is brushing up on his skills anew now) and is a super trained dog with a strong skillset. When he’s out, people wherever (even at the mall which is an overwhelming place for all of us!) remark on how good he is. He is an excellent listener, he is super duper smart and he has done - the - work! Cjay loves ball, oh boy oh boy oh boy, he lovessss playing ball. He also loves early morning bike rides or long walks. What a guyyyyy! He knows “place” and is trained not to sit on the couch. Unless you want him to sit on the couch in which case he would be thrilled to join the fam ;) Cjay needs a dog savvy home to be his advocate and know his past doesn’t define him and he deserves the happiest life. He will need the continued structure of maintaining his training which isn’t hard, it just takes someone who cares to give him consistency and set everyone up for success 🙂 Everyone who meets Cjay falls in love with him. As such, he has a whole little team invested in his future ready to help his new family. His current trainer will provide training sessions and ongoing support so you know what Cjay knows :) And we will cover Cjay’s vet care for life! All he needs now is a family to love him forever Please email animalarmyla@gmail.com for more info.

COURTESY POST: CONTACT 818-378-8995 to foster OR adopt. Fetti is a handsome 3-year-old, 78 lb. boy with eyes as blue and beautiful as the sky. Sadly, he was abandoned in a boarding facility with many other dogs when a rescue group closed its doors. Fetti may need time to get to know you and build trust but once he does, he’ll be your loyal companion for life. He would do best in a quiet home and would thrive with a patient, dog-savvy guardian who will give him the time he needs to feel safe. House-trained, neutered, current on vaccines and ready for a home to call his own.

Story
2/3/26 from Bertha`s day hike foster: Bertha... she and I have formed a nice bond. The take-away with her is that trust is earned and it takes time and effort. Bertha is a sweet, chill, loving dog who would make a fantastic companion. We stopped off at the cafe and got coffee for me and a bowl of water for her. Then took a leisurely stroll to the Whitnall Highway North park and sat in the shade. She lounged in the cool grass and took a brief nap. This is the type of peaceful day her adopter could enjoy. Each day she`s in the shelter is a day someone is missing out, big time. Bertha would do best as the only animal in the household, no other animals is a must!Bertha LOVES to play fetch! This girl could undoubtedly go for hours and she is an exceptional playmate. She will fetch her toy, drop it at your feet and never try to grab it back while you’re picking it up. She knows sit and lie down and seems to be very obedient and loving. She`s super friendly, and we think she would be a wonderful companion for an active person who loves to play with their dog. We also think she would be great on hikes! From Bertha`s Day Hike Volunteer:OK... Bertha. Noticeable improvement. We started on the side streets and worked our way back to the Chandler bike path. Bertha watches every dog, and if they bark, she`ll bark. She will also occasionally bark if she doesn`t like the look of a dog, but she mostly seems to be matching energy. I posted pics and a short video to IG and tagged the VBAS (link below). She is best described as Bertha: very important executive pup. She is highly focused, dedicated, passionate, and motivated. She is always on alert, ready to micromanage the most mundane task. But... after we walked off some of her energy (2%, tops), she was happy to sit under a shady tree in the cool dirt and just be in the moment. And she is a champ in the car. So great getting in and out, and an excellent traveller. Bertha, Bertha, Bertha. I have learned a lot from her. She`s big, she`s strong, and she`s reactive to a lot of things. Therefore, I respect her needs and walk her on quiet side streets, keep other dogs 10 to 15 away, and avoid cyclists altogether. This strategy makes for a lovely, loose leash walking experience. She`s happy, I`m happy, and the lovely folks we meet (sans dogs/bikes/scary things) are happy. We take our walks slowly, allowing her to sniff at her leisure. Most importantly, I have learned that you have to ea
