Story
Meet Diamond, Diamond is a typical English Mastiff. She is suspicious of new people but deeply loyal, affectionate, and mellow with those that she loves. The great news is that treats win her over without too much effort. Once you`re in, she is all soulful brown eyes, soft ears, drooly lips, ready to drag you by leash to whatever she wants to check out. Diamond is easy to re-direct if she is thinking about `getting into things.` You just say `Diamond` and she`ll come right over, grinning and slowly wagging her tail. Diamond will be most successful in an adult only home with children over 18 years old. Diamond has previously lived with a small dog, but due to prey drive, we do not think she would do best with kitties.Given Diamond`s initial suspicion of strangers, we may require multiple meet and greets before she goes home. If you are interested in meeting this lovely mountain of love, please stop by KVHS with all human and canine family members.

Story
` A man indeed a walrus at heart?` This oversized pup will bellow at their favorite companion. Here at the shelter, Walrus has chosen a select few staff members he truly listens too and will give full obedience/ attention too. Walrus is an oversized puppy that has started his education here at the shelter and will benefit with much more training one on one. He has learned sit, paw, lay down and is getting better at name recall every day He is so eager to learn just gets distracted at times. He is super friendly to the the point he thinks everyone is his friend. He may bark and pull on leash but with a few corrections he will listen! Walrus has made lot`s of friends here at the shelter. His play style is rough and tumble for sure. So I hope your dog can keep up with tag and can wrestle. We recommend rough and tumble kids while walrus can fill in his paws. This sweet boy has never lived with cats but we are hoping he can do well in a home of dog savvy cats. If you are interested in this lionheart, please come to KVHS during opening hours. Please note due to limited kennel space, Walrus is located out back, so please ask to meet him. Bring in all family members including dogs!
