Story
My name is Nicole Blankenship, and I am reaching out with my whole heart to ask for your consideration in taking in two very special cats, Queso and Ruffles. About five months ago, they were thrown from a slow moving car in my neighborhood in South Texas. I couldn’t leave them like that, and since that day I have been caring for them and doing everything I can to keep them comfortable while trying to find help. They were both born with a congenital condition called eyelid agenesis. I was able to take them to a veterinary ophthalmologist in San Antonio, where it was confirmed they will need either cryotherapy or reconstructive eyelid surgery to prevent ongoing damage to their eyes.
