Story
Meet Tricky, an adorable scruffy little gentleman! Senior? Yes. Slowing down? Not a chance. Tricky is active, mobile, and ready to be your loyal little shadow. His age is a best guesstimate by the vet, but his foster believes he could be younger. Tricky was found wandering rural Missouri in the heat—weak, alone, and clearly in need of someone to care about him. Now, after a few weeks of TLC, he’s discovering how good life can be. Tricky is house trained, crate trained, kid friendly, cat friendly, and dog friendly. He sleeps quietly in his dog bed and gets up when you do—no 6:00 a.m. wake-up calls! Tricky loves being near his people and will happily follow you around as your loyal little shadow. He greets everyone he meets with a tail wag and tiny finger kiss. Tricky likes to “talk” to you from time to time when he gets excited and will tell you all about his day! Tricky does have some skin allergies that we’re still trying to determine the cause of, but he’s responding well to daily Apoquel and sensitive-skin, salmon-based dry food (non prescription). This scruffy little guy has plenty of life and love left to give. Tricky’s ideal home will include a fenced backyard to keep this little guy safe. He would love another companion dog to hang with. Tricky is looking for someone who will appreciate his adorable face, easygoing personality, and sweet disposition. If you are interested, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Tricky’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
