Story
Seems like some of the best dogs are finding themselves in the worse predicaments.  Our little blonde Barbie girl is called Sandy and she is a 2-3 year old Cairn Terrier weighing 29 pounds and one of the cutest little munchkins ever. She kind has that Farrah Fawcett effective with the tousled blonde hair. She is not so sure about how walk nicely on a leash but apparently she belonged to a family who let her and her brother run loose and unmonitored as they were being seen all over the small town rural community loose and in danger of getting hit by a car. The family finally gave them up to Critter Cavalry Rescue and she  is now being vetted and spayed and ready for a much safer and better life.  When you see that special scruffy face and her adorable smile, it just makes you want to love and protect her.  She adores people and has no fear or hesitation when meeting a stranger.  She is a little fearful of new dogs and will need some time to acclimate to a new canine friend slowly.  She is going to make someone a nice small dog and trusted companion that just needs some polishing.  Soon she will be be a runway beauty queen with impeccable manners!  This little Cinderella story is about to come to a great ending if you write to the Critter Cavalry Rescue email at ccrtennessee@gmail.comMay 12, 2026, 5:24 pm

Story
My name is Sandler and I am a 2 year old Cairn Terrier boy that weighs 30 pounds and has a winning smile that I share with everyone I meet.  Seems that my former owners allow me and my sister to roam freely around the lake area that they live near.  Over and over the local people would find us loose and were concerned.  Now my owner says they don't want me or my sister and so Critter Cavalry Rescue has taken us in and promised us a much better home that each of us can be safe in.  We are getting spayed and neutered today, 5/5 and I am ready for a new home now!!!  I am very friendly and walk nicely on a leash for the most part.  I am curious and just trying to figure out what just happened to my life with all the roaming adventures that were not safe for me.  I need to be introduced to other dogs slowly right now because I am feeling a little vulnerable. I bet you have felt the same way a few times in your life!  I am told that I am an unusual color, smokey grey, and once I get all the mats out of my fur a good grooming, that I will be tip top hat and handsome!   If you are interested in making me a part of your life where i can put a smile in your heart and on your face every day, then email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 12, 2026, 5:24 pm

Awesome puppyWe do not charge an adoption fee, but do ask a donation to reimburse for our expenses. We are a 501c3 charity, all donations are tax deductible. We are not a brick & mortar shelter. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes. If you would like to help with fostering, please submit an adoption application NOTE:  We do not generally adopt outside of New England Each dog will be spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (negative,  unless stated otherwise), treated for parasites, and up to date on shots. While we are vigilant to get everyone as healthy as possible before we send them off to start their new lives, it is to be expected that, after the stress of traveling across the country from the midwest,  and going to a new home, they will probably need to be retreated for parasites. We want to stress that your new friend needs to be seen by your veterinarian within the first week of arrival. We absolutely guarantee a happy adoption, or you MUST return the dog and we will undo the contract. If you are not happy, the dog is not happy, and we are not happy. We are in this to make the dogs happy.   See more about us and to get an application form, go to our web site; http://www.nnewestierescue.org   Not much happens until we receive your application. And check out our latest adventures on our Facebook page; http://www.facebook.com/NNEWR You may contact us at: Rescue@nnewestierescue.org. We do not respond to inquiries until we have an application from you.  May 7, 2026, 8:54 am
