Meet Kaylee, a super senior Cairn Terrier with a bright spirit and plenty of charm. She is currently sporting a bit of a silly haircut after her coat needed to be shaved due to matting, but her beautiful coat will grow back in no time.Kaylee is a smart, engaging girl who enjoys meeting new people. She can be a little cautious with handling at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and playful personality shines through. At the shelter, she has been both quiet and surprisingly bouncy, showing she still has plenty of life and curiosity to share.She has lived with other dogs and may do well with a respectful canine companion. Kaylee recently had dental care and is feeling much better as she looks ahead to her next chapter.While she still has plenty of energy, Kaylee would do best in a home that can offer her a soft place to land, with patience, walks, kindness, and understanding as she settles in. Kaylee needs work on housetraining and doesn`t want to live with children.If you are looking to give a deserving senior a loving retirement, Kaylee is ready to meet you. If you are interested in adopting Kaylee, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm during our walk in hours. If you are unable to come during walk in times, please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to check what other times/days may be available by appointment.

Story
It's with a heavy heart that I must rehome my beautiful 8 year old active healthy small dog. Senior citizen unable to care for him any longer cannot take him for walks or give him a quality of life that he so much deserves. He loves to pretend to chase the bunnies and look out the windows and just sit beside his owner and cuddle. He would need to be in a small, fenced area or on a leash at all times as being a terrier breed outside his nose wants to take him to wherever the squirrels and bunnies are. He probably would be best with a senior as he's been with one for his entire 8 years of his life. He has never been crated, and is afraid of crates. Please tell me what kind of home you could provide would it be a fenced in or an enclosed area when he goes outside? He loves to go for a little walk on his leash and meet and greet other dogs so that would be a plus please serious inquiries only right now he lives in the suburbs so he's not used a lot of trucks or traffic noise , just birds
