Rafael comes pre-programmed with all the best doggie manners (he’s had 8 years to practice!) and he’s not about that “chewing your shoes” life. He’s more of a “snuggle on the couch and watch reality TV” kind of guy. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, high-cuddle companion Rafael is your man. He’s ready to retire to a life of luxury… preferable at your house! He is house trained and good with other dogs.Before and after his grooming! He looks so much better and a little cooler!Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made.The application is the first step. Fiji had an ok appointment with the ophthalmologist recently at Veterinary Ophthalmology Service where we did learn that he does not have glaucoma - good news - so no eye removal needed, but we also did learn that he does have some scratching on his cornea (which may get better with time and meds), and he has a retinal disease that does make it so he currently can see some with light, but his site will continue to diminish over time until he eventually will probably be fully blind. BUT. Dogs are soooo good at adapting so if we find this little man a home while he still has site, it will make it so much easier when that site goes. Fiji is pretty easy at his fosters home and does great with their large breed dog and high school age daughter and is cute as a button!
