Story
Boo WHO?! A Boo who would love to be with YOU! This sweet boy arrived with a mysterious past but an abundance of heart. As our self-appointed "Director of First Impressions," Boo greets every visitor at SNIPSA with a professional-grade tail wag. Whether he’s making his morning rounds or leaning in for a chin scratch, he quickly wins over everyone he meets. Boo is the ultimate social butterfly. He’s a big fan of television—specifically Abbott Elementary—and loves to settle in for long sofa siestas. If you put on the Alabama Shakes, don't be surprised if he joins in with a gentle, soulful howl! Our Resilient Boy Because of a suspected spinal injury prior to his rescue, Boo has a few extra needs. He deals with mild urinary incontinence and requires his bladder to be expressed a few times a day. The good news? Boo is a total pro—he knows when his bladder is full and is more than happy to help with the process. He can also rock a belly band for added confidence. While he has been a beloved fixture at the office and has thrived in foster care for a while with our staff member Roxanne, he is officially ready to find a permanent pillow to call his own. Why You’ll Love Boo: * Fun-Sized & Scruffy: He has all the best traits of a Cairn Terrier—playful, curious, and just the right size for any home. * Low Maintenance Energy: He isn’t overbearing; he’s just eager to find a cozy spot to bed down. * Personal Alarm Clock: He’ll make sure you start your day with a smile. We are confident there is a perfect home for every dog, and Boo is no exception. If you have room in your heart for a resilient, charming, and scruffy little friend, Boo is waiting for you! Story
Tonka is a 3 month old Cairn Terrier mix with the perfect blend of scruffy charm and playful energy. With a Blue Heeler dad and a 10 pound Cairn Terrier mix mom, he’s expected to stay on the smaller side but brings a big personality wherever he goes. Tonka and his sibling were found on the side of the road, but you’d never guess it from his happy, loving spirit. He’s curious, smart, and already showing that loyal Heeler side, while still being a cuddly little terrier who loves attention. Tonka enjoys playing, exploring, and then crashing in your lap when he’s worn out. He would do great in a home ready for a fun, affectionate puppy that will grow into a devoted companion. Tonka is being fostered in TX but can be transported after adoption. You can apply directly for Tonka by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-855 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Winston is a real charmer! He wins the hearts of everyone he meets. He just showed up in a neighborhood looking for someone to love! After taking him to a vet clinic to be scanned for a microchip and posting him all over social media no owner came forward. Now Winston is looking for a new family. He seems to be extremely friendly with everyone he meets however we do not know how he would do with children. The doctor is guessing him to be about 7 - 8 years old. He seems to be house trained and has not been destructive in any way. He very much enjoys going for walks and likes to spend time outside. His biggest love is sitting in laps and giving kisses if he can get away with it! If you think Winston may be a match for you just let us know!

Story
Welcome Leader to CCPAL Rescue. Leader is a Cairn Terrier Mix. He is friendly with other dogs and came in with 2 other dogs. He came in with a pregnant momma dog and a male dog named Arty. Arty and Leader have play time and are kenneled together at the Rescue. Leader is 26 pounds and is about 2 years old. His teeth look clean so he won’t need a dental anytime soon. His coat wasn’t as pretty as it is now that he has been in the Rescue a couple of weeks. He is getting lots of daily attention and good nutrition. He is getting his DHPP vaccines and will get Rabies when neutered. He would be fine in a home with a moderately active family. He is sturdy enough to be a good walking companion. He will need brushing and maybe some grooming to have the tip top coat. He isn’t a big shedding dog. He is vocal but not over the top. I would call him an alert dog bark. He will alert you that something is different or someone different is here. He settles down nicely and is also able to be relaxed and chill. He would be able to go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is social and very happy. He is independent and not too clingy. He isn’t used to constant touching and attention and is fine relaxing by you and watching what you are doing. We would love this boy to have his very own forever home where he can get daily attention, walks and everything a loved dog gets. He was from an overcrowded situation….maybe a City Removal type case. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video
