Callie is about 9 years old and was surrendered to us because her owner went into a nursing home and there was no one to care for her. We couldn't get much history about her except that she was living in an RV with a German Shepherd, so we know she gets along with dogs. Her front paws are declawed and she has limited vision in one eye due to a healing injury. Miss Callie is very scared and hisses when you approach her, but you can pet and hold her without any problems; she LOVES cheek scratches. This poor baby had her whole world turned upside down and is not getting used to the chaos (noises, business) of shelter life. Please consider opening up your home to this sweetheart. She is an inside only kitty and is litterbox trained. Poor miss Gretchen lost her home when her owner passed away with no one to care for her. She has been declawed on all four paws, and is at least 12 years old, so this pretty gal needs a special home. Her foster dad took her in hoping for a cuddle buddy for his declawed rescue, but Gretchen needs a quieter home with no rambunctious buds bothering her. This sweet senior gal is a little on the chunkier side, and does need a special senior kitty diet to keep herself healthy and happy. Additionally, due to her being declawed on all four paws, any adopter must be prepared to continue to provide pain management care for Gretchen, as declaw operations do tend to cause discomfort that can lead to unpleasant cattitudes throughout their lives. She's a tortie, but didn't have that option on here. She's a really sweet and vocal cat, she talks to you all the time. She loves chirping at birds especially. She does well with kids, but she'd do better without, as she does much better with quiet surroundings. She loves napping at beds and blankets. She might be really shy at first, but will eventually warm up to you, and become very affectionate. She needs a little time when introduced to cats, but she's very maternal and attached once she's open; she was formerly a mom too, so she has a bit of heft in her step. She's very playful too, she loves chasing little mice toys and balls. She'll need to be indoors, she hates the outside. She also has a very.. ugly-ish meow since she's a tortie, but it's always out of love. I can send video clips if needed.
