🐾 Meet Johnny — The Gentle Soul Who Deserves to Be Someone’s Everything ❤️ 11 months old | 40 lbs | Canaan mix | Leash trained Some dogs just need a chance. A chance to be seen, to be loved, and to finally know what it feels like to belong. Johnny is one of those dogs. 💔🐾 Johnny and his siblings were born in November 2025 at a random house along the Texas/Mexico border. Their mama was a stray with nowhere to go, simply doing her best to survive and raise her babies. When the puppies were just a few weeks old, they caught parvo. Thankfully, every single one survived. These little fighters made it through something that could have taken everything from them. But Johnny’s story didn’t end there. The rescue that initially stepped in took four of the six puppies, leaving Johnny and his brother, Gorge, behind at a sanctuary in boarding. They were supposed to be helped, too. But the rescue never came back for them. And just like that, two innocent boys were left waiting. 💔 That’s where we stepped in. Because Johnny and Gorge deserve so much more than to be forgotten. They deserve a family, a soft place to land, and a lifetime of knowing that someone chose them and will never leave them behind. And oh, Johnny… what a special boy he is. 🥹❤️ At 40 lbs, Johnny is the perfect size for a whole lot of love. He’s a relaxed, gentle soul who isn’t looking for a life full of adventures, endless activities, or constant excitement. His idea of a perfect day? A leisurely neighborhood stroll, a cozy spot beside his favorite human, and a little Netflix and chill. Couch potato? Absolutely. Floor potato? Also, absolutely. Professional cuddle bug? Without a doubt. 🛋️🐶 Johnny is a little shy when you first meet him, but once he feels safe and lets you into his world, you’re going to have a shadow for life. He loves being near his people and will happily follow you around just to be part of whatever you’re doing. You don’t have to entertain him every second. Just being with you is enough. And when he sits down with those little paws crossed in front of him? Excuse us while our hearts melt. 😭 His good manners and gentlemanly nature make him such an easy boy to fall in love with. Johnny enjoys playing and romping around with other dogs, but he’s equally happy embracing the slower side of life. We believe he could also thrive as your one-and-only pup, provided his people are home more often than not. He would love a family with children, too! Cats are still an unknown, but we can arrange a cat test for a potential adopter. And because every gentleman has his quirks, Johnny has one very important household rule: his food bowl belongs in the spot HE chooses. Move it somewhere he doesn't approve of, and he might just pick it up and move it himself. 😂 Apparently, even the sweetest boys have standards! Johnny isn’t asking for a mansion, a huge backyard, or a family who wants to hike mountains every weekend. He’s looking for a laid-back home, kind humans, gentle walks, cozy evenings, and someone who will let him be exactly who he is. This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. Meet Meggie, a 4-month-old, 12-lb black Lab mix with the sweetest little heart. Meggie was found with her sisters in a rough area of Puerto Rico — a place where three tiny puppies had no business trying to survive on their own. Thankfully, they were found and brought to safety, and now Meggie is getting her chance to learn just how good life can be. Meggie can be a little shy when she first meets you, but give her a little time and her adorable, playful personality starts to shine. Once she realizes she’s safe, she’s incredibly sweet and loves to play. She absolutely adores other dogs and comes out of her shell beautifully around her furry friends. Meggie is looking for her forever home in the New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, or Connecticut area. She may need a minute to know you’re her person — but once she does, you’ll get to watch this gentle little girl blossom right in front of you. Meggie survived the hard part. Now she just needs someone to show her she never has to be scared or alone again.

With no safe home to sleep in and no family to protect them, their future was uncertain. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and gave these sweet girls the second chance they deserved. Millie is an incredibly sweet little girl who just needs a moment to feel comfortable. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she realizes you're a friend, her playful, loving personality begins to shine. She absolutely loves other dogs, and having furry friends around helps bring out her happy puppy side. At just 12 lbs, Millie is still a little baby with so much growing, learning, and loving ahead of her. She deserves a family who will give her the patience to blossom and the affection she has been missing. Millie is available for adoption in the New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and Connecticut areas. This little girl has already experienced what it's like to be unwanted and unsafe. Now all she needs is someone to show her that the world can be kind, that hands are meant for loving, and that she will never have to wonder where she belongs again.

Louis — The Big, Playful Lovebug Meet Louis, a 1-year-old, 55-lb boy who is playful, fun, and full of personality. Louis had a scary start to life. As a puppy, he was found on the streets after being attacked by another dog. That experience understandably stuck with him, and while Louis can learn to trust other dogs, he needs time, patience, and slow introductions before he feels safe around them. He does, however, do well with cats! With people, Louis is a sweet, playful guy who loves having fun and being part of the action. He’s also potty trained and past the tiny puppy stage, making him a great companion for someone looking for a young dog without starting completely from scratch. Louis didn’t get the carefree puppyhood he deserved, but he hasn’t let that take away his love for life. He’s looking for a family who will understand his past, give him the security he needs, and let this big, goofy boy finally enjoy being someone’s beloved dog. Louis is currently in Puerto Rico and will be transported to the states for his forever home or a foster offer.

Meet Starbuck, affectionately known as Buck, a 2–3-year-old, 45-lb Lab mix with the sweetest face and an even sweeter heart. Buck was found wandering around a Starbucks in Puerto Rico, scared, alone, and desperately hoping someone would notice him. We don't know how long he'd been living there, but when our rescuers pulled up and opened their car door, Buck couldn't jump in fast enough. It was as if he'd been waiting for someone to finally say, "Come on, buddy. You're coming home." And what a sweetheart he turned out to be! Buck is incredibly gentle, affectionate, and loving. He has that wonderful Lab-like sweetness and just wants to be close to people who care about him. We're still learning how he does with other dogs and cats, but we're happy to check with potential adopters. Buck is currently in Puerto Rico and can be flown to his forever home anywhere in the U.S. Transportation is arranged by our rescue and included in his adoption fee. He can also travel to a foster home while waiting for his family. Buck didn't need treats or convincing to get into that rescue car. He just needed someone to open the door. Now he's waiting for someone to open their heart and give him the home he's been searching for.

Well, hello there, darlin'! You ain't nothin' but a hound dog if you pass up this girl! Meet Priscilla, a 2.5-year-old, 45-pound German Shepherd mix who's ready to leave the heartbreak hotel behind and find her forever home! When Priscilla first arrived, she was a little shy and needed some time to come out of her shell. But these days? She's found her groove, gained her confidence, and is ready for her close-up. Watching this sweet girl blossom has been music to our ears! Priscilla is the definition of all shook up in reverse — she's actually a wonderfully chill, easygoing girl who gets along great with other dogs and people of all sizes. She's not much of a barker, doesn't need to be the center of attention, and is perfectly happy just being part of your everyday life. Basically, she's got the looks, the personality, AND the manners. What more could you want, thank you very much? She's kennel-savvy, house-trained, and walks nicely on a leash, so you can take your little queen on leisurely neighborhood strolls while she waits for the paparazzi to arrive. Priscilla isn't looking for a Vegas wedding or a life of rockstar drama. She's ready for the simple things: a loving family, a cozy couch, some companionship, and people who will love her forever and ever. So, are you lonesome tonight?
