Story
Hello, I went to South Korea and brought back two rescue dogs. I’m able to keep one but must give the other up to another family. As you may be aware, South Korea has a big problem and there are many dogs that need rescue. Jamey’s early life was very hard and was badly treated. He was tied up with four short leashes and had to sleep standing up. As the result he has a scar around his neck, which was surgically repaired. Since being rescued, he has made study progress and has no lingering health problem. Though, he is still gaining much needed weight as his first owner in Korea only fed him every other days with leftover rice. He’s extremely friendly and gets along well with our other rescue dogs. He’s completely house broken and well behave but still has lingering anxiety which is improving.

** I am currently being housed at our New York Avenue location. Come meet me at 1201 New York Avenue NE, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. Elegant and dapper- that's Amar. He is so handsome he should be on the cover of GQ magazine, but he would really prefer to be on your bed covers taking a nice nap. Amar is a rather timid pup who came to us recently. He's been a bit unsure of this new situation but with love, lots of energy burning walks he is turning the corner! Amar is an athletic hound with a need to exercise and adventure. He is young and LOVES to be out and about with us. He is also a very sweet fellow who appreciates a gentle hand and approach. So, do you need a new furry buddy to take on exciting hikes and walks? Then you must meet Amar today!
