Grizz has rizz, and is ready to charm his way into your heart with those big puppy dog eyes and goofy demeanour!
Grizzly is a growing boy who is learning to trust people and the outside world. Once he is comfortable with you his goofy, extremely loving personality comes through and he wants nothing more than to hang out near by, get all the pets, and share his affection. While his name might sound intimidating, he's really a cuddly bear!
He has oodles of puppy energy to go around so he'd love a home where he can play and use his noodle with training and brain games to tire him out. Grizzly loves to play wrestle and tug-o-war with his canine foster sibling, then gnaw on a juicy chew stick before heading to his crate, napping as hard as he played!
Grizzly loves going outside but can get scared at first of new things, and is gaining confidence each passing day and is encouraged by his foster parents. He didn’t have much socialization the first few months of his life, so on walks he is fearful of children and other dogs and begins barking, however, he can be easily redirected with treats. When he is scared of something he will come to his human for reassurance and comfort. He can be protective of his human around new people, and will need help to work on proper introductions.
Grizzly is a bright boy who loves to impress you with how quickly he can pick up new skills and tricks, in exchange for a treat of course! He's very food motivated and would thrive with a family who can continue his training so he can be the best dog he can be. This includes helping him learn his manners and having positive interactions with other dogs and people.
Grizz can be a bit of a food thief so he takes his meals in the calmness of his crate. Given his rowdier play and larger size he would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy, kids. He’d love a resident dog to play with and learn from, but would do great as a solo dog too. A quieter neighbourhood and with a family who can give him the guidance, love, and exercise he craves would be best for him.
Grizz will steal your heart quickly and has so much love to give! Will you be the lucky someone who gets to soak it all up? Apply to foster or foster to adopt him today! https://caninehaven.org/dog-application/
