Story
Meet Ari Current Location : S. KOREA 📌 Breed: Welsh Corgi 📌 Age: Estimated 3 years old 📌 Sex: Female 📌 Weight: 13 kg 📌 Spayed/Neutered: Yes, spayed 💛 Temperament Ari gets along well with both men and women, though she seems to feel a bit more comfortable with female caregivers. She loves every human she meets on walks and eagerly rolls over for belly rubs. She has never shown any aggression and has only displayed a sweet, gentle nature. 👶 Good with Children? Yes. She happily greets all people, including kids, and immediately shows her belly. 🐶 Good with Other Dogs? Ari mostly ignores other dogs. Even when another dog comes up to sniff her, she acts as if nothing is happening and simply minds her own business. 🐱 Good with Cats? She has never met a cat yet. 🍖 Food Motivation She LOVES food. She finishes her meals instantly and enjoys treats as well. ⚡ Energy Level Ari has a low activity level. She prefers short walks—after about 15 minutes she tends to stop walking, likely because she is currently a bit overweight. 🦮 Leash Trained? Yes. 🏡 Crate/Kennel Trained? She has not been formally crate trained, but she loves having her own space. If you lay out a blanket, she chooses that spot to rest. 🚻 House-Trained? Yes. She uses indoor pee pads but also does her business well during walks. 🗣 Barking She rarely barks. She may bark briefly out of excitement when someone comes home, but otherwise she is very quiet. 🏃‍♀️ Escape Risk Yes — Ari is a little bit scary. She may run and hide suddenly when she feels startled, even inside the house. Extra caution is needed during the adjustment period. 🤗 Handling She absolutely loves being touched and will expose her belly all day for pets. No issues with handling any part of her body. 🧸 Destructive Behavior In the beginning, she chewed a computer cable, so everything is now covered. She has also torn a pee pad twice. Other than that, she hasn’t caused trouble. She’s still learning how to play with plush toys, so she plays only in short sessions. 🎁 Resource Guarding No signs of guarding food or toys. 🩺 Health Issues None at this time. 🐾 Rescue Story Ari was rescued from a breeding facility. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate, but also sometimes frightened due to her past. With patience, love, and a calm environment, she will blossom into a wonderful companion.

Story
Currently in a Vancouver foster home 🐾 Hello, I’m Bombom — a gentle boy ready for a brand-new beginning. I’m a Welsh Corgi–Spitz mix boy, about 7.2kg, with a small but sturdy body and soft white fur that everyone notices right away. People say I have a cozy, comforting look — the kind that makes you want to smile when you see me. In February 2024, I was rescued from a place where dogs were being slaughtered. Three of us were saved that day… and I am one of the lucky ones. Because of where I came from, people worried I might be afraid of humans. But surprisingly, I’m not. I love people — truly. If you call my name, I’ll trot over with my tail wagging, hoping for affection. I enjoy attention and I have a sweet, gentle heart that just wants to be loved. I get along naturally with other dogs and have a calm, easygoing social nature. I’m also great on walks — steady, relaxed, and lovely to walk beside. Being outdoors with someone I trust feels peaceful and happy. I’m more than ready to be cared for, cherished, and loved. Now, I’m waiting for a forever family who can give me a safe, warm place to spend the rest of my life. Please give a new beginning to a soft-hearted boy like me — a boy with fur as white and gentle as his heart. 🤍🌿 With love, Bombom 🐶

Story
Meet Joel 4-year-old | Neutered Male | Welsh Corgi Brown & White | 7.6 kg | 31 cm Rescue Story   Joel was rescued in April 2025, just before his scheduled euthanasia. Thanks to timely intervention, he was given a second chance at life and is now looking for his forever home.   Personality & Socialization   With People: Joel is a very affectionate and friendly boy. He happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, enjoys being petted, and often rubs against them for attention. He’s known to give kisses to people he meets on walks and loves showing affection. He does well with both men and women. While he hasn’t had direct experience with children under 13, once he feels comfortable, he will happily roll over and show his belly.   With Other Dogs: Joel is social and friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs, often approaching them to say hello and invite play. That said, he clearly prefers human companionship over dogs. He may set boundaries with very high-energy dogs, rough players, or dogs that try to mount him, letting them know he’s uncomfortable. He does best with dogs of similar size and energy level.   With Cats: He showed little to no reaction to cats encountered outdoors. Cat testing can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   For a Welsh Corgi, Joel has a calm and balanced energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and walks but settles down nicely afterward and is not overly excitable.   ‍ Walks & Leash Skills   Joel does tend to pull a bit on leash but generally follows his handler well. He loves to “run,” though his short legs limit his speed. He is confident even on busy streets with traffic and enjoys greeting people he meets along the way.   Other Notes • No food guarding toward people or other dogs • May bark when people approach while he is in a kennel • Calm and well-behaved when crated • Currently uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas   Health update Joel has mild hip dysplasia, but he’s currently walking normally and doing great. No surgery needed at this time   Joel is a loving, people-oriented companion who will thrive in a home that enjoys gentle outdoor activity and lots of affection. He’s ready to give his whole heart to his forever family. Apply to adopt or foster https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram.
