Taylor is a very sweet boy. Taylor loves cuddles and will follow you around the house! He is good with cats and other dogs. He would probably be good with children. Taylor is on the smaller side but can keep up on a run or hike! He is 95% potty trained, and just needs a little more practice. Taylor is a moderate energy dog who loves a good nap. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Taylor’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. I have the sweet natured attitude that will make me a great family addition. At 2 years old, I'm at a great age where as I'm still playful but way past that destructive puppy stage. That sure makes for a nice combo for my new family. Oh and another nice thing...I'm already house trained too!! I have an amazing tiger striped pattern in my coat and show stopping amber colored eyes which make for a stunning combo!! My hairytage is of the Catahoula Leopard, and the beautiful swirling pattern of my coat is a genetic characteristic. My personality is sweet, sweet, sweet and I am very human oriented. I love giving and getting kisses and spending time with my people. Also, for a medium sized dog of 55ish lbs, I am a great snuggler!! I will wrap myself around my Foster Mum and delight in the attention!! I will stay there snuggling for as long as she has time! I walk well on leash and know how to sit and stay. I have great focus and pay attention really well. I am a people pleaser and will try to do whatever it takes to make my you happy!! I get on well with most all other doggies and enjoy romping in the yard getting a good game of keep away or tag you're it going. I LOVE hoomans and haven't met a stranger yet, I'm pretty sure everyone is here just to give me lots of lovins!! :) I'm a great size to make you a pawsome action adventure type companion, whether it's going for neighborhood strolls, camping trips, hikes in the wilderness and then my beloved snuggles by the fireplace (on the couch is fine too). Checkers - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! **I am deaf** Named for the legendary Chubby Checkers as I still have some puppy squishiness to me and I love to dance! It is believed I'm deaf or at the very least hard of hearing. I may not be able to hear the music but I can still get those dance moves going on. Come on baby, come do the twist with me!! We can have a 'whole lot of shakin' going on'. I'm still a youngster at around 7 months and even with my lack of hearing am your typical fun, loving life pup that enjoys everything every other pup enjoys. I am very active, social, sweet and affectionate. I am great with people, having never met a stranger yet. Everybody is my friend. I also do well with other dogs and would benefit greatly having a sibling to follow and learn from. The one good bonus of not being able to hear is that thunderstorms and fireworks don't bother me! At 35llbs I shouldn't get a whole lot bigger when I get to my fully growed up size. That's gonna make me a great size for all kind of adventures. Whether it's a leisurely stroll, a nature hike (oooh, love all those awesome smells), camping trips, trips to the doggie park or whatever else you may want to do, I'm ready to be right there with you! At 7 months old I'm at the perfect age to learn some sign language, do some mental puzzle games and learn to play hide and seek with you (and I'm sure to find you..my nose works great!!) I'm doing great with my house training and am picking it up real quick. I've got my handsome good looks, friendly personality and happy go lucky attitude but what I don't have...yet, is YOU!!

Don't let that serious face fool you! LaFonda's personality is as fun and silly as her countless freckles. What does LaFonda love? Being with her people Snuggling Car rides Practicing her skills: sit, wait, kennel, come, ringing a bell to go outside! Learning new skills: fetch, leave it, down, engage-disengage Kongs and stuffies Treats! LaFonda had a very bad upper respiratory infection when we brought her home to foster, but she is healthy and thriving now. She's staying with me, my husband, and three cats. Until recently, we also had an elderly pup, who LaFonda loved. She has met my friend's children (ages 5 to 11) and did very well with them. LaFonda is potty trained and a very polite guest. She has had zero accidents in the house and always asks before coming up on furniture. She also does great at bedtime! She sleeps quietly in her crate, where she also eats her meals. She does not particularly enjoy being in her crate when we leave, but we're working on games to make crating more fun. She can get a little too interested in the kitties, but she's learning to respect boundaries. I'm seeing daily improvement with her engage-disengage training. LaFonda is a beautiful girl with so much potential who wants nothing more than to love and be loved! And she's cute as can be. She will make a great addition to the lucky family who choose her as their forever pup.
