Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mega is the most precious pup who is special needs and deserves the best home! Although considered special needs he's really your average puppy. He is around 14 weeks old as of September 2, 2023. He currently weighs 20 pounds and he is the sweetest and happiest guy. Mega came to us at just 4 weeks old. His eyes did not fully develop so he is completely blind. He also has a mild case of hydrocephalus but as of now he has no symptoms. We were not familiar with this condition so we have had guidance from our vets but also joined a group on facebook called hydrocephalus in dogs. It has been so helpful and also encouraging. There are many dogs that live happy healthy lives with this condition. Mega is currently on on generic prilosec which is cheap and available over the counter. This is encourage for dogs with his condition. Mega is so happy all of the time. He loves toys, other dogs, cats, all humans, giving kisses, snuggling, car rides, playing tug of war, and he sits on command. He is very treat motivated. Although he is blind he gets around very well. He knows his way around my house and knows exactly where the food and water bowl are. He can even climb steps but does need some help getting down them. He really is perfect in so many ways, and he will make the right family the perfect companion. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines including rabies, microchipped, and current on heartworm prevention. You must have a great vet reference to be consideredVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 23, 2024, 3:35 pm

Story
Hello, there! My name is Merle, and I'm a gorgeous, two year-old Catahoula Leopard mix! I originally came to the shelter as a puppy with my sibling, in 2022. We were an unexpected litter and our person could not care for us. I was adopted, and then ended up back at the shelter in 2023 as a stray, now an adult and heartworm positive. I was adopted again, and then ended up as a stray back at the shelter--yet again--in 2024, still with heartworms, because my adopter did not have me treated. Without treatment, heartworms are fatal, so I really need your help getting out of here. Please don't think it's my fault that I'm at the shelter again, waiting for a forever home. Sometimes people are not responsible with animals when they adopt, which makes me sad. Despite what I've been through, I am the sweetest girl ever and I want nothing more than a family to love me and give me a FOREVER home! I'm friendly, with the most soulful eyes, and beautiful fur. And guess what?? My heartworm treatment has been SPONSORED by a kind soul who wants to see me make it out of the shelter. So there's no cost to you, and no excuse not to adopt me!! If you can give me the loving home that I crave and deserve, I urge you to come meet me today! I've already been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you come meet me, I promise that you won't want to leave without me! See you soon!

Story
Scooby Doo (1-2 y/o, Catahoula mix, neutered, HW-) Scooby Doo was spotted by rescue volunteers in September, 2023. He was limping and extremely emaciated. Although he had owners, they said that they no longer wanted him, so the rescuers gave the family $20 and took Scooby home with them. Later, a veterinarian confirmed that his limp was due to an old injury. He had likely been hit by a car: his hip was severely damaged, and the muscles in his leg had atrophied. He has since received surgery and is constantly improving! Scooby Doo has a wonderful temperament. He is sweet and mellow, but also silly and playful. He gets along with other dogs, and he would love a family of his own! March 26, 2024, 9:33 pm

Story
Hi there, I'm Honey, a bubbly 4-month-old Catahoula mix ready to steal your heart! Currently tipping the scales at 20 pounds, I'm on track to reach around 40 pounds as I grow.   I'm a sweet puppy who adores everyone I meet, whether they walk on two legs or four. I get along famously with kids, dogs, cats, and people of all ages. Car rides are one of my favorite things, and I'm always up for an adventure or a trip to the dog park. When I'm not busy exploring, I love nothing more than snuggling up with my favorite humans and soaking up all the love and attention I can get. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   I'm eager to learn and grow, making me the perfect companion to train and raise alongside your family. If you're ready to meet your new best friend, don't wait – apply today to meet me, Honey! March 26, 2024, 9:33 pm
