Story
We got Honcho as a puppy at 2 months in April 2024, with his sister Oreo. They are from the same breed, but a very different sizes. Honcho is a medium sized dog, around 50 lbs or so. He is very lanky and clumsy. He is kennel trained apart from his sister, and understands that is where he sleeps and eats primarily. He is very active but also has lap dog energy. We are looking for a new home as we have two older dogs and not enough space in the home. My mother-in-law is also living with us and while we have previously been a home with 3/4 dogs at a time, it's too risky. On top of that, our lives have become too busy to fairly divide out attention between everyone.

Story
Hinnie is one of the silliest little things we have ever seen. She was found as a stray and never claimed. She has a wrinkly little smile and her bark sounds like a seal. She can sit for a treat and is working on "stay". Due to spending a good portion of her puppyhood in the shelter, she is still learning socialization skills and will need a family who will keep working with her. She walks well on a leash and is very loyal and protective of her person. Despite her size, she is a watchdog at heart. She is around a year old and weighs around 35lbs. We know there is a person out there looking for a heart dog... Maybe Hinnie is your girl.

Story
Hello folks! My name is Tessie and I am a seven year five month old female Catahoula Leopard dog mix. I am medium sized and white with black in color. Even though I am partially blind and partially deaf, my hoomans say that I am very sweet and very intelligent. I do prefer men over women. Since I am partially enabled, I will need to go to a forever home with a few special things: I need to be in a home where I am the only animal and with no small children. It’s not that I don’t like them, its just that any sudden movement or loud noises may frighten me. Just sit in a dark room sometime, close your eyes and plug up your ears; scary huh? I can see some dark shapes and hear some loud sounds but it can still be pretty scary. The hoomans here say I can be trained like the other dogs, but I have to rely more on your touch or my ability to smell or how something feels instead of just voice commands. I also need a safe forever home without hazards for me to hurt myself on, like sharp corners or extension cords or stuff like that in my special area. And, I need a home where stuff in my area doesn’t get moved around a lot. I have to use my memory you know to help me get around safely. Well, hoomans, I’ve told you what I need from you; the patience, commitment and understanding. Now I can tell you what I can give you in return. I can give you my unending loyalty and love. That’s because I’ll know you’re the one who brought me to my forever home. The hoomans tell me that many times, the bond a dog like me has with its owner is even stronger than usual. And, I can also give you that deep feeling of satisfaction in knowing that when it really mattered, you helped a fellow person to a better, happier life. So, what do you say? Why not fill out an application, come see me a couple of times, and let’s start a life together. If you have read my story and you’re considering adopting me, you are probably the kind of person that could make this work. If you are that person, I look forward to your visits soon. LOVE TESSIE
