Story
Hello folks! My name is Tessie and I am a 8 year and 3 month old female Catahoula Leopard dog mix. I am medium sized and white with black in color. Even though I am partially blind and partially deaf, my hoomans say that I am very sweet and very intelligent. I do prefer men over women. Since I am partially enabled, I will need to go to a forever home with a few special things: I need to be in a home where I am the only animal and with no small children. It’s not that I don’t like them, its just that any sudden movement or loud noises may frighten me. Just sit in a dark room sometime, close your eyes and plug up your ears; scary huh? I can see some dark shapes and hear some loud sounds but it can still be pretty scary. The hoomans here say I can be trained like the other dogs, but I have to rely more on your touch or my ability to smell or how something feels instead of just voice commands. I also need a safe forever home without hazards for me to hurt myself on, like sharp corners or extension cords or stuff like that in my special area. And, I need a home where stuff in my area doesn’t get moved around a lot. I have to use my memory you know to help me get around safely. Well, hoomans, I’ve told you what I need from you; the patience, commitment and understanding. Now I can tell you what I can give you in return. I can give you my unending loyalty and love. That’s because I’ll know you’re the one who brought me to my forever home. The hoomans tell me that many times, the bond a dog like me has with its owner is even stronger than usual. And, I can also give you that deep feeling of satisfaction in knowing that when it really mattered, you helped a fellow person to a better, happier life. So, what do you say? Why not fill out an application, come see me a couple of times, and let’s start a life together. If you have read my story and you’re considering adopting me, you are probably the kind of person that could make this work. If you are that person, I look forward to your visits soon. LOVE TESSIE

Story
Meet Serena – Your Co-Pilot, Pup Cup Partner, and Best Friend! If you're looking for a dog who is equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle companion, then let us introduce you to Sadie! This beautiful girl is about 1 year and 5 months old, weighs around 60 pounds, and is believed to be a Border Collie mix with maybe a little Catahoula sprinkled in. With her intelligence, fun-loving personality, and affectionate nature, Serena is ready to find her forever family. Favorite activity: Car rides! Favorite treat: Pup cups, of course! Favorite people: Everyone… especially kids! Serena loves people and has a friendly, happy personality that makes her a joy to be around. She has done well with other dogs in her yard and showed no reaction to a cat while on leash, which is promising. There is just one thing you should know… Chickens, beware! Serena apparently thinks raw chicken is a delicacy, so we would not recommend a home with chickens. She prefers her feathered friends served on a menu rather than roaming around the backyard. Otherwise, this girl is full of love and ready for adventures! Loves car rides and pup cups Great with people and kids Has done well with other dogs Showed no reaction to cats while on leash Smart, affectionate, and ready to be your loyal companion No homes with chickens, please! Serena comes: ✔️ Spayed ✔️ Vaccinated ✔️ Dewormed ✔️ On flea and tick prevention ✔️ Micro-chipped Rescue adoption fee: $65 Whether it's a trip to get a pup cup, a scenic drive with the windows down, or a cozy night at home with her favorite people, Serena is ready to be right by your side through it all Serena is located in Anderson, Missouri. Message us to learn more about adopting Serena and giving this sweet girl the forever home she deserves! 760-680-3713
