Story
Lou is a 2 and a half year old, male Catahoula Leopard Dog. I am rehoming due to slight behavioral problems and my busy schedule. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is crate trained and house trained. He is also very energetic and playful. He is typically very good with other animals. Lou needs someone who will be very patient and understanding with him. He is extremely anxious, especially when it comes to men. He usually warms up to strangers very quickly, but will start off growling, barking and cowering down. At this time, there is only one person he’s met that he has not warmed up to. I am willing to answer any other questions that anyone may have in regards to this sweet boy.

Story
Boo is a very smart cookie! Her and her brother Boogey are deaf, but they have learned some sign. Boo currently knows sit, shake, lay down, roll over, and spin. She will require a home that will continue this training, but she catches on to everything fast and loves to snuggle up after a long day for a nap! Requirements- -Must own your home -Must have a visibly fenced yard -All current animals must be up to date on vaccines AND fixed -Adopter must be at least 21 years old Our Process We do not adopt our first come first serve, we place our dogs in homes best for for them. If the foster believes you are a good fit, they will call you to start the process. (Fosters usually call multiple applications at a time) If you are still the best fit, a meet and greet will be set up for you to meet the dog and be sure it is the right for for your home. If the meet and greet goes well, a home visit will be set up to ensure the dog is going into a safe home. At this point the dog will stay in the home if all parties are in agreement. The process can take 2-4 week to complete.

Story
Age: 2 yearsWeight: 55 poundsLocation: FosterMeet Domino! She was found stray heavily pregnant and had 9 puppies February 12 in a loving foster home. When not on Mama duty, she enjoys running in the yard, playing fetch, carrying around toys in her mouth and being loved on by her foster family! She is a great family dog. She is 100% potty trained, is gentle and bonds quickly. She likes to stick close to home and enjoys a comfy couch, especially when she gets to snuggle with a family member! She needs work on jumping but is good on a leash or harness. She seems good with other dogs but has only been observed with the resident senior Chi. She has chased cats but is possibly just imitating what the other dog does . Due to her size and energy, she would be best in a home with older children. Domino is around 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds. She looks like a Catahoula Leopard dog, possibly mixed with Great Dane.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 17, 2024, 11:15 am

Story
Introducing Hondo, the loyal and brave companion you've been waiting for! Hondo is a true good boy, showcasing his friendly nature with both people and fellow furry friends. He strikes the perfect balance between confident and respectful, making him a wonderful addition to any household dynamic. While Hondo may be a bit head shy when it comes to leashes, it's a trait rooted in his past experiences - his ears once caused him discomfort. But with patience and understanding, he's slowly overcoming this challenge. This resilience highlights his adaptable nature and willingness to grow. Crate training is a breeze for Hondo, reflecting his cooperative spirit. He's well-versed in the art of sitting and enjoys eating a peaceful meal. These traits make him a joy to train and a promising companion for both new and experienced pet owners. Hondo's ideal home is one that's lively and active, as he thrives in an environment where he can stretch his legs and engage in the joyful act of running. With a strong recall foundation already in place, he's open to further fine-tuning this skill. This warrior-dog's name is music to his ears, and he responds to it with enthusiasm. Though his recall could use a bit more polish, his eagerness to learn shines through. Hondo's adaptable and resourceful nature, coupled with his receptive attitude, make him a loyal partner for all your adventures. If you're seeking a four-legged friend who embodies both resilience and companionship, look no further than Hondo. He's ready to stand by your side and show you the depths of his affectionate heart. Don't hesitate to welcome this valiant spirit into your home! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
