He will thrive in an active home that can provide consistent training, routine, and positive outlets for his energy to help him grow into his best self.River was initially unsure when first introduced to cats, showing cautious curiosity. Once he had time to understand them, he became quite interested in play. He will do best with a dog-savvy cat in a home that can manage his playful enthusiasm and ensure the cat has safe spaces to retreat and decompress.With dogs, River benefits from slow introductions, as high-energy, overly exuberant puppies can make him nervous at first. He would do best with a medium-energy dog who can be appropriately matched during introductions and then engage in play once River is comfortable.Based on his suspected breed, Catahoula-type dogs are known for their intelligence, independence, and need for both mental and physical stimulation. Remi is a 7 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound. He is a sweet dog with a very silly side and loves to lounge about, especially on the couch or in a bed with people. He loves people and is great with other dogs, cats, kids and people. Due to a change in my living situation and lifestyle I have decided to rehome Remington, so that he can get more attention than I currently can give him. My wish is to find Remi a home where he will be loved and cared for and be happy cuddling up with his person(s). I hope that you can be that person.
