Story
Kai is the sweetest boy. He is gentle and loving. He is great with my kids and other dog and cats. He’s been my perfect boy for three years now, but recently we moved from the city to farm country. And the move has been hard on him. I had no idea, but he has a strong prey drive I believe due to his husky genes. He is content in our yard and home, but he has now gotten out twice through children leaving doors unlatched and he is very motivated to get next door to my neighbors chickens. He has never hurt another animal and I do not think his behavior is aggressive in anyway, it just is his dog nature to want to retrieve the chickens for me. It’s causing so much stress and anxiety that he may get out and get to the neighbors before I see and recall him, so we have made the extremely tough decision to look into rehoming. He is truly the perfect dog in every other way, and had we not moved I would have never considered needing to rehome. Its beyond heartbreaking.He has so much love to give.

Wrangler is being fostered in PA. Wrangler has some limited vision. 3/24/2025 Wrangler has been doing much better in the crate when his foster has to go out for a while. His wire crate is next to the xpen of another dog so he is not alone and he loves Himalayan chews, so gets one while in his crate. His house training has gotten much better. He goes to the door when he has to go potty to let you know. His foster is starting to try teaching him to use bells on the door. Will see how that goes. Wrangler is such a sweet boy and so loving. Wrangler is a sweet 4-month-old Husky/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. His vision isn’t perfect, but he does have some sight. His eyes did not develop properly. But it doesn’t stop him from enjoying life to the fullest. He loves to play with other dogs and loves to cuddle with humans. He would do well in a home with other dogs to play with, and a fenced yard to run around in. Wrangler is a smart puppy and is learning commands quickly. He got a late start at potty training and learning commands but picking things up. He loves toys and nylabones to chew on. He also loves to chew on antlers and anything else hard. Wrangler does not like being left alone in a crate, so he has been sleeping with the other dogs and his foster Mom and doing well. He will sleep through the night with someone in bed. Wrangler will make a wonderful addition to a family and bring lots of laughs and joy and love. He is still growing so has plenty of time to learn so much and become a great dog for a loving family. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Ulti is being fostered in PA. Ulti is both blind and deaf. Ulti is making good progress on housebreaking, and gets along with everyone. Ulti is a 4 month old Catahoula Leopard/Husky puppy, she is both blind and deaf. Ulti is sweet, loving and a happy little girl that loves to play with other dogs and is quite the cuddle bug. Ulti likes to explore her surroundings and investigate everything. Ulti does not like to be alone. She is currently working on her potty training and basic commands.
