Allow us to introduce you to KEVIN, a 3 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who didn't have a great start in life. A few weeks ago, he and another dog that has since been adopted were seen being tossed out of a car into the parking lot of a closed convenience store. They were both skinny and infested with fleas. When KEVIN went to the vet, it was determined he was at least 20-25 lbs underweight. As skinny as he was, KEVIN didn't show any signs of food aggression. He is gaining weight (we have already had to adjust his collar) and doing great. KEVIN keeps his kennel clean and uses his doggy door. He loves to play and when he is outside, he prefers to be wherever you are instead of running around the yard. He is good with kids and other dogs. KEVIN loves going for walks, car rides and stopping for ice cream! Who doesnt?! Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. I have had so many chances in my young life. Seriously...I was found with four siblings at about 2.5 weeks old, dumped in a box at the post office... we were so, so sick and close to death. My rescue mom really worked hard to get us healthy and LIVE. And we did! About 6 weeks later, we all got parvo..... and my rescuer was able to nurse all of us out of it! All my siblings have been adopted, and I am ready too! I am somewhat shy and will take time to settle into my new family. But I will adjust. I am best with another dog, calm and confident, because I will mirror that energy. As a gorgeous catahoula/whippet mix, I have plenty of energy and I love to play!
