Story
This beautiful girl (Jupiter) is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Australian Shepherd mix who was brought to HSOV on December 4, 2025 after she was reportedly found at Exit 6 (Interstate 77) north of Marietta Ohio. It was heartbreaking to learn later that Jupiter was an owner surrender (after her beloved owner had passed away). Jupiter has a gorgeous black/blue/gray coat in a blue merle pattern with a white bib on her chest, tan shading on her legs, a long tail, and a lovely face with dark blue eyes, a white stripe on her forehead, a slender muzzle, and short floppy ears. Jupiter weighs 42 lbs. We are learning about Jupiter's background/description thanks to several caring individuals who were familiar with Jupiter and have provided information about her: Jupiter was the "pick on the litter" and is currently about 27-months old. Jupiter is good with cats. She would probably do best as an only dog in a home since she tended to be protective of her original owner (and she loved attention for herself and may have been jealous of other dogs). Jupiter also tended to be protective of her food bowl. Jupiter is great on a leash and loves to run. She had been kept indoors and is housetrained. We will update Jupiter's information as it becomes available.

Story
Name: Ditto Gender: Female Age: 15 weeks (8/6/25) Current Weight: 21 lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Catahoula Mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes Apartment Friendly: Yes Physical Fence Requirement: None Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Not fully potty trained, working on it Ideal Home/Adopter:  Ditto is deaf and will need a family that is willing to adjust their training to her needs. She is already picking up on hand signing. She is being raised in a foster home with dogs, cats, and young kids so she is getting all of her social skills! Likes: Toys, bones, food & playing with other dogs! Dislikes: Being thirsty. When the water bowl is empty. Sometimes she will use her nose to flip it to let you know it needs refilled. She only does it when empty because she also doesn't like a mess.  Ditto has big fabulous ears that serve zero purpose - all cosmetic because she is deaf! She is smart and picking up on hand signal commands, including come and sit. She loves to chew on bones and is the worlds best napper because nothing wakes her up. Ditto is a fun, sweet girl! She is the biggest of her siblings, and LOVES to play with stuff toys and chomp on bones. She's down for a good cuddle, but is even happier to play with you, her toys, or another dog! Somewhat hesitant at first, she is really coming around and learning to be with her people. Also... She also LOVES carrots, she will play with them first but always ends up eating them. Girlie likes her veggies!  Ditto's adoption fee is $400. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in Ditto, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##2589160##

Story
Meet Patty Melt! Patty Melt is about 7 years old and a 50 pound female Catahoula mix. She is blind but learns to navigate her surroundings very well. Patty Melt loves her people. She can be slow to warm up to strangers and needs a good sniff first, but once you’re approved she’s all love and belly rubs. She is content to hang out all day and sleep, snore, and play with toys. She happily sleeps in her crate, and does not cause any trouble left alone in the house out of the crate. Patty Melt is currently being fostered in Columbus, Ohio. She would do best in a home without young children or fur siblings. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventions.
