You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Born 5-16-2022 Bobby is one of 5 pups that were found abandoned under a bridge near Butler OK.  He is people friendly, but VERY timid. He is a little fearful on meeting new people for the first time but warms up after he knows you. He is curious and has lots of energy.  He is sweet and loves to play with other dogs. He needs some training and human attention but would make a great companion if given love in a new home. He is friendly with people and is curious and energetic, but due to being confined in the shelter for so long is very shy. The Catahoula breed is known for 'extreme intelligence'.  He needs a secure fenced yard. He is ready to be trained and will make a great companion as he is eager to please and have attention. A playmate would make his life complete. 2 years in a sanctuary makes gaining trust a process, but he would be so worth it and is very deserving of a family. Story
Moose will turn 4 on Valentines Day 2026. He is energetic, stubborn, loves attention and did I mentioned energetic? He has completed basic obedience training, with ecollar, but tends to get stubborn when not collared. He’s a very smart dog for someone experienced and willing to give him the time and energy needed. Catahoula’s are working dogs, and he doesn’t get worked enough due to my work schedule. He lives with 4 cats and another dog, which he does well with but I’m unsure how he would do with other dogs. I think with time to adjust, he would be just fine. He’s too much for my wife to handle while I’m constantly away and he deserves a place to thrive. Ideally, a home on land or farm would be good. He came from a ranch in Texas and both parents are working cattle dogs.
