Hi guys, My name is Tristan. Such a regal sounding name huh? I was presumed dumped with another little doggie friend. He and I were trying to make ourselves at home with some people in a rural area. Needless to say, we were beyond unwanted. We thought we were pretty nice and kind, but the family did NOT. My little friend came into Lucies with a bruised bladder and a dislocated leg. What a horrible excuse for a human. You know those people at that home did that. They'll get their just desserts one day... I was horrified when I came in and would cower around everyone. My only fear is being left alone. I'm slowly overcoming that and becoming a confident boy! Yay me! I'm K9 friendly, so other dogs are ok to be around. I'm ready for my new family and home. Hi there! My name is Jocko. I used to be a NAVY Seal.....ok not really but hey, I'm pretty cool like that!! Anyway, I was part of a 28 dog hoarding situation, where the wonderful people at Lucies came and took us all in. I was adopted by a family that I thought were really nice, but then it turned out that they didn't really want to have me as their dog. They didn't want to take the time to provide proper training, so I was returned to Lucies. We aren't born perfect - we need guidance from our owners and love and attention! I am leash and crate trained, so that's a plus! I'm looking for a family who will keep me and take care of me for all of years. I'm tired of being disappointed... Inquire about me! We’re going to let you in on a little FBCAS secret. Blaze’s tough guy image that he’s worked so hard to portray is FAKE. That’s right! He’s really a softie who craves cuddles and attention above all else. When you walk up to his kennel he greets you with rude sounding barking. Why would he put on a fake mean persona you ask? The answer is simple: the treat tax. He’s realized that if he pretends to be scary people will give him treats to try and win him over. And he’s right – we do! One treat is all it takes to become best friends. Then he’s instantly calm and ready to be loved on. Even though he’s not being honest, he is really cute. So we’re just going to keep letting him run his little scheme until he finds a home of his own. You’ll be rewarded too if you play into his hand. He is the cuddle master and just wants to snuggle up to you as much as possible.After you’ve payed the treat tax Blaze is calm, sweet, friendly, and submissive. He enjoys belly rubs and will take his treats like a sweetheart from your hand. He seems to have had some practice sitting on command too. He’s also gotten along well with other dogs in shelter playgroups.

How could you not fall for a smile this handsome? Russell is such a flirt – especially for treats! We’re not sure how people aren’t falling for him left and right! Russell is a 3YO Catahoula mix who came into the shelter as a stray with some other dogs on 11/3/23. He’s a very good boy who’s great at leash walking. He enjoys being let off leash to run around in the yard a little. He has an average energy level, so he doesn’t need a ton of exercise. Just a little keeps him happy! He keeps himself entertained, but he’ll also sit happily by your side for as long as you’ll pet him. The boy loves love! Russell has great focus when it comes to treats. Nothing will distract him from his snack! He already knows how to sit on command for one, and he’s sure to pick up more tricks with a little practice.

Heath loves a game of fetch, and he’s really good about bringing the ball back to you like he should. He has pretty good manners, but he’ll get excited waiting for you to throw the ball and his feet will start doing some tippy taps. He’s not all play though! He keeps it balanced by having a calm side. He’ll happily sit on command for a treat and enjoys having you pet him. Hello, my name is Blue. I am a Catahoula puppy with a beautiful merle coat. I love playing and cuddling with my foster family, being outside, going on walks, meeting new people, and learning new skills. My favorite things are tennis balls (especially the squeaky ones), toys, sticks, belly rubs, and treats! I sleep great in my crate at night and am doing great with potty training and walking on a leash.
