Nico is a very handsome boy with beautiful eyes. He needs to be on a strict routine. He shouldn't be in a home with young kids. He would have to be the only pet. He is strong and stubborn. He needs someone who will be consistent with him. He isn't friendly to other animals. He is very loyal and protective to his person. He needs a home with a yard. He needs a home where it is strict and the person(s) are patient. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Inquire about setting up a meet and greet.       ##1501785##

Story
Scooby came into the county shelter as a stray with his two brothers. We called them the "Three Musketeers" as they were always looking for adventure! Scooby was pulled along with his brother Brownie by Kerrville Pets Alive during a euthanasia call, because they were just too sweet to be lost! They required some training and work on their social skills and are improving every day. They now have made friends with all the dogs at their foster home. As Catahoulas are excellent hunters, they are amazing in their natural instinctive skills. Scooby is alert and protective. He is very affectionate, attentive, and LOVES to swim. He would make a wonderful tree dog and can tree anything that moves. He is neutered and has all shots up to date and is heartworm negative.

Story
Brindle came the county shelter with two housemates, who have since found their forever home. They were surrendered because of an altercation when an unsecured dog strayed into their yard. His two housemates are in families with other dogs and are doing well. Brindle may someday do well with another dog in his family, but for right now, we recommend him as an only dog. After 4 months of "incarceration", he has not changed at all in his zest for life, his love for all the staff and volunteers and his desire to chase the ball, frisbee... anything for hours on end. There is a softer side to him. He is also very good at crawling in your lap if allowed. Please don't ask us "How is he with cats?".... A dog this motivated by moving toys, should probably not be in a family with cats. We also suggest that children in the family be old enough, so they won't be knocked down by an active dog. We are thankful that Brindle was able to make it through three euthanasia calls. He is 4 years old, and still active and very happy. He was a celebrity earlier this fall when he was featured for the season opener for the local high school football season. We all want to see Brindle get a home of his very own!

Story
- Age: 1 year old - Breed: Catahoula Mix - Gender: Female - Weight: 40 lbs - Personality: Active, Friendly, Goofy - Loves: Playing, Toys, Hanging with her people - Kid Friendly: Yes - Dog Friendly: Yes - Cat Friendly: No Woof woof! My name is Samoa, and I’m named after those scrumptious Girl Scout cookies that everyone loves—sweet and a little coco-nutty, just like me! I’m a happy, outgoing girl on the lookout for an active family to share my adventures with. I’ve got a heart full of joy and a playful spirit that shines bright! I know my basic commands and I’m working hard on my good girl manners because I want to impress my future humans. I’m a social butterfly and get along great with my fellow furry friends, so if you have a pup at home, we’ll have a blast together! I’m kennel trained and housebroken, which means I’m a responsible girl ready to settle into my new home. When I’m not busy making new friends, you can find me happily chewing on my favorite Benebone or playing with my toys. I absolutely adore all people—especially kiddos! They’re so much fun, and I can’t wait to share my love with them. Now, I have to be honest: I’m not the best match for kitty cats. They just aren’t my thing. But if you’re looking for a sweet and energetic companion to join you on walks, playtime, and all sorts of family fun, I’m your girl! Let’s make some pawsome memories together! Samoa is spayed, update to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is currently on heartworm and flea preventative. If interested in adopting Samoa, please fill out our online adoption application at www.truaa.org. We will contact you once your application is approved to set up a meet and greet. Adoptions are done by appointment only and need an approved application.
