Story
Walnut is a handsome 7-month lanky pup! Walnut is a shy, but sweet boy. He has not experienced much in his life and is learning about the world around him. He has learned he enjoys cuddling he has become very good at it! He loves food so training will be easy. Walnut had a lot of fun playing with another dog recently. He had a great time chasing her and being chased by her, but he did not like sharing toys with her, so that is a work in progress. He is a mix of Catahoula and Preso Canario, plus some unknown. He will be a big boy once full-grown! Walnut is a sweet boy who needs a patient and loving home to show him all he has missed out on, and long couch snuggle sessions!! We are open Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 4. To get pre-approved for adoption same day go to spfldhumane.org and fill out an application. If you have a vet please contact them to permit them to speak or we can not process your application. Adoption fee-$275 Due to the strict animal import laws in MA, we can not adopt to MA residents.

Snickers is available for adoption in TX, PNW and NE (excluding MA) Meet Snickers! This adorable 4-month-old Catahoula mix puppy is full of life and ready to find his forever home. Bursting with puppy energy and enthusiasm, Snickers loves to run, play, chew, and be loved. He has a particular fondness for water and mud, making bath time extra fun! While he listens on his own terms, Snickers is getting quite good at sitting when treats are involved, showing he is smart and eager to learn with the right motivation. True to his puppy nature, Snickers loves to chew on toys and dig in pots, so providing him with appropriate chew toys and a safe digging area will keep him happy and occupied. Snickers does well being crated at night for up to 8 hours, giving his future family peace of mind and a good night's sleep. He plays well with the resident dog, even though the dog can be a bit territorial. Snickers is still learning about personal space with new dog friends and would love to jump into playtime right away. He shows interest in chasing and barking at cats, but with dedicated one-on-one training and attention, Snickers has the potential to coexist peacefully with feline friends. Snickers would thrive in a home that can keep up with his high energy levels and provide him with plenty of playtime and exercise. He needs a family willing to invest time in training and socialization to help him become a well-rounded adult dog. If you have a dog-savvy cat and are willing to work on his training, Snickers could be a great addition to your family. Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy and energy into your home? Story
Meet Lil Miss This sweet girl has had a rough go. She was found by her owner on the road as hit by a car, scared, sad and lonely. She took her to the vet and with their help and her love, she nursed her back to health, and lil miss was finally happy. Sadly, her owner recently passed away, leaving lil miss, once again, sad and lonely. She is being cared after by a sweet friend of her owners in hopes to find her a home that will love her an adore her like she had been. She is kid friendly and dog friendly with a kind and loving disposition. She is a bit apprehensive when it comes to medical care and is somewhat nervous in that situation, but you can't blame her after all the hard things this loving girl has been through. If you have the heart to give, she would be willing to take it. All she needs is a loving home to see her through. Her adoption fee includes her being fully vetted, microchipped and she is available to you via ground transport.
