Story
Hi, I’m Murphy! My mom says I am a this/that breed of dog, because I am a little of this and a little of that!😄 We think I’m about a year old & stay under 40lbI really love snuggling with my person, head scratches (THE BEST!), and being your loyal shadow. I take a little longer to warm up to new people than some pups, but I can be very loving once I feel safe.Important needs:• No small children, please. I have snapped at the little humans in my current home, but I also growl if they enter the room I’m in or if they’re too loud.• I have been around cats and am learning to be friendly• Big barker, it’s my second fav hobby!• Allergies, a cherry eye that shows up when the allergies get bad, and strong scavenging/chasing instincts. I love smelling all of the smells!I’m a good pup but need an experienced, patient owner committed to training and management. NOT suitable for first-time owners or busy families..So, if you think I can be your fur-ever guy, have your people contact my people! 💙

Story
Laney is from an accidental litter of 3 delivered by c-section on July 14, 2025. She received her puppy series of shots but still needs rabies. She’s extremely loving! Great with people, kids and other dogs. I have cats and as a pack they pick on the cats (never attacked, just harass) im sure with training she’ll be fine! Overall she is great she needs a family that can give her the love and attention she deserves! We planned to keep her but life circumstances changed and I’m a single mom working 70+ hours a week, the kids were supposed to help but they don’t. I really can’t give her the life she deserves. Shes house broken and crate trained. Needs to work on her manners as she takes treats like she’s never eaten before and needs a slow feeder because she inhales her kibble. Rotts are notoriously known to have chicken allergies so she has been on lamb & rice or salmon with sweet potato kibble she’s not currently spayed and hasn’t yet had her first heat cycle. Mom is on site as well.

Story
⚡️ Meet Volt – The Little Clown Who Will Light Up Your Life! ⚡️ Volt is a 1.5-year-old neutered male Chihuahua with an electric personality and playful spirit. While he was somewhat worried during his time in the shelter, once he came to Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows, his true colors began to shine – and he quickly became the clown of the pups! Volt absolutely loves to play keep-away with his toys. He’ll bring them back for another toss, then zoom off with a grin as if to say, “Catch me if you can!” 🎾 His joyful energy is infectious and will keep you laughing every day. While Volt is very friendly, he does seem to be somewhat untrusting of males. However, with food motivation and positive reinforcement, he will likely overcome this hesitation in time. In the shelter, he allowed staff to put on and remove his little jacket and loved sitting in their laps while they worked in the office. Volt will also happily sit in his foster parent’s lap when he’s had enough playtime – he just needs people who respect his signals and give him space when he says he’s had enough. ✨ To Volt, life is all about toys, play, and fun! Could he be the playful companion you’ve been waiting for? ✨ Volt is ready to find a forever home where his silly, sweet personality can shine. 🐾
