Miss Empire is a 7 year old, 15 pound, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is looking for a home with lots of love and attention! She would be thrilled to join a family where snuggles abound. Empire is fine with other dogs when properly introduced, and she ignores the chickens at her foster home so she’d probably be fine with cats, too. She’s done well with children and is timid but interested in meeting new people! She is sleeping well in her crate and hasn’t had any accidents in the house! She walks well on a leash, rides nicely in the car, and enjoys a slow walk while sniffing the air. Empire has been diagnosed with stage 2 Mitral Valve disease with severe enlargement of the left ventricle. She is now on heart medication that she needs every 12 hours, and she will need a recheck echocardiogram, blood pressure and thoracic radiographs in 6 months. Because of her heart condition, she is considered high risk for anesthesia and will have a veterinary note that she cannot be spayed. Empire is unbothered by this diagnosis - she just wants to cuddle on the couch, go on small adventures, and follow you around everywhere you go! If you can give this sweet girl the home she deserves, please submit an application! Empire's adoption fee is $300
