Meet Cupcake!
Cupcake is a 2-year-old, 22-pound Cavachon—a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise mix—with a tender heart beneath her cautious exterior. Surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her, Cupcake is searching for a patient family willing to let trust grow at her pace.
Cupcake lived a sheltered life with limited exposure to new people, so unfamiliar faces can feel overwhelming. She is timid and selective about whom she trusts, generally warming up to women more readily than men. She needs an adopter who will respect her boundaries and give her time to feel safe without rushing introductions or affection.
Once you earn Cupcake’s trust, her sweet side shines. She becomes an affectionate, devoted companion who loves being close to her people. Getting to know this girl takes patience, but the bond she offers is worth the wait.
Cupcake does well with other dogs and has been fostered with cats without issue. Because she needs space and understanding when building relationships, she is seeking an adult-only home without children. A quiet household with a predictable routine would help her settle in comfortably.
She enjoys going for walks, but a securely fenced physical yard would be best while she bonds with her new family and gains confidence in her surroundings. Her coat will also require regular professional grooming to keep her comfortable and looking her best.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
