🐾 MEET ARLO! 🐾
Hi! My name is Arlo, and I’m a 6-month-old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Poodle mix weighing about 12 pounds. And yes… I come with a LOT of luxurious floof! ☁️🐶 Please keep that in mind because regular grooming is definitely in my future!
I’m a super special boy because I’m deaf. ❤️ My foster has been working with me using hand signals, and I’m doing great! Because of my special needs, I’ll need a dog-experienced home that is patient, committed to training, and willing to learn right along with me.
I’m still very much a BABY! 🍼 I’m curious, energetic, and still learning that human hands and arms are NOT chew toys. 😂 I’m working on my puppy nipping and chewing, so I would do best with children who understand puppy behavior and know how to appropriately interact with dogs.
👧👦 I LOVE kids! I’m really good with my foster family’s children, who are 4 and 5 years old and have a great understanding of how to interact appropriately with dogs. I enjoy being around them and would love a home where I can continue having positive experiences with dog-savvy kids!
🏡 House training is still a work in progress. I’m not completely potty trained yet, so a patient home with a consistent routine is a must. My new family may even need to get up during the night for a potty break while I continue learning.
🐶 I LOVE other dogs! I’m definitely more of a follower than a leader, and I really benefit from having other dogs around. I would do best in a home with other pets, especially another friendly dog who can help show me the ropes.
Having another dog may also make life a little easier when it comes to getting me to come inside! Since I’m deaf, I can’t hear my family calling me when I’m outside. I tend to follow the other dogs, so having a canine buddy who heads inside can help me know that it’s time to come in, too. ❤️
I sleep just fine in my crate at night, but I definitely don’t want to spend all day in there! If I’m your only dog, I would need a home where someone is around frequently and is committed to continuing my training.
🌳 I have plenty of puppy energy and MUST have a securely fenced yard where I can safely run, play, explore, and show off my toys. Because I’m deaf, a secure fence is especially important for my safety since I cannot hear a recall or approaching hazards.
Being deaf doesn’t stop me from being a happy, playful, loving puppy! I just communicate and learn a little differently. With the right family — and ideally some furry friends — I’m going to be an incredible companion. ❤️
