Story
Chloe is a very sweet and adorable 4 1/2 year old spayed female Cavachon weighing 11 1/2 lbs who was previously used as a breeder dog at a puppy mill before she was rescued by Logan's Heroes.  She is now fully potty trained and walks well on a leash. She has never shown any aggressiveness and especially enjoys the company of other dogs.  Chloe would do well in a home with another dog and a fenced yard. She loves exploring our yard freely. She has not experienced any cats, however, we don't think they would be an issue for her.  When outdoors on her walks, she notices the many deer and squirrels where she lives but has no interest in chasing them or barking at them.  She likes her quiet space where she can feel secure and safe.  She is quite sensitive and skittish at times.  Chloe will run to her quiet space when confronted with people she is unfamiliar with or with sudden movements and loud noises.   Because of this, she would not do well in a home with young energetic children.  It will take her some time yet to fully trust those who care for her although she has made good progress with this already.   Keeping to a daily routine with consistency and a lot of patience, praise and love will enable her to relax much more easily.  She is not motivated by treats but looks up for praise and responds well to that.  She is learning to "Wait!", "Come and Sit", "Turn Around", and the release word, "Break!"  She also understands the word, "No!"   She shows attentiveness and interest when books are read to her and will snuggle next to the person reading to her.  She also likes to snuggle and be lightly massaged and petted at times but on her own terms when she is ready.  She will allow herself to be picked up and held but will show some initial resistance with that.   She still has fears around having her leash and harness put on or anyone hovering over her.  Chloe will do best in a calm and patient home with at least one other dog friendly dog to help show her that living in a house is a wonderful place to be.  Chloe is spayed, UTD on shots, had a dental cleaning and started on heartworm preventive.
