Story
Aldo is an approximately 2-3 year old chihuahua that was hit by a car in 2023 and left at the side of the road. He was so lucky to be found by a caring person who rushed him to the vet to help him. Amazingly he did not have any broken bones. Once recovered from his wounds, he needed help learning how to walk again but unfortunately did not have access to supported recovery, so he learned to drag himself around to move from place to place. This resulted in skin wounds and injuries. Since being with Mountainside, Aldo has been learning to walk and not drag. He has gone through rehabilitation to build up the strength in his hind end which was completely atrophied. With love and care from his current foster, he is encouraged to walk and is getting much stronger. He loves people so much as well as other dogs and cats. Aldo is learning to play with his friends and very much enjoys being a lap dog wherever possible. His favourite moves are chin and belly rubs.

Story
Hiya! My name is MOY. Me and my pal POPEYE are a BONDED PAIR and MUST go to a home together! Here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Chihuahua mix Age: Approx. 1 year old Gender: Male Weight: 8.4 lbs (3.7 kg)  Height: 33 cm (paws to shoulders), 43 cm (paws to top of my head) Length: 48 cm (head to butt) Neck: 23 cm Chest: 38 cm Current Location:  Mexico City RESCUE STORY - Me and Popeye were rescued together two months ago. We used to live on the street with a few homeless alcoholics. It’s believed we taken from somewhere else, as the homeless people didn't have us one day and then showed up with us the next. Unfortunately, we were mostly tied up and had little chances to move. Me and Popeye were kept hungry and dirty. At rescue, we were both dirty and underweight but fortunately, had no serious health issues. Our rescuers have searched for our "original owners" (if we had any) but nobody has come to claim us. SO... now we're hoping and praying that a lovely family in the Pacific North West will want to give us both a loving home together! After all we've been through, we have kinda "trauma bonded" together and are inseparable now. I get pretty stressed out when we are separated (video). TEMPERAMENT - I am friendly and very affectionate with people I know and trust (video) and am more reserved with people I have never met (video, video 2, video 3). I am pretty chill (for a chihuahua) and don't appear to bark much or show any aggressive behaviours. I am curious when outdoors and hope to have more opportunities to explore nature when we go to our forever home. I am dog friendly and absolutely need my buddy Popeye as my companion; we walk (video), play, eat, cuddle (video, video 2), and sleep next to each other. We have shown that we are essentially each other's "emotional support animal", so our rescuers want us to be adopted together.   We were only recently rescued (Sept. 2025) from pretty unsafe and unstable conditions, where our movements were quite restricted. We are getting used to the new environment of the shelter. When together, we are way more confident. I think the ideal adopter for me and Popeye should be aware that we will need some time to get used to a new home, but also expect us to grow into very affectionate, playful furry companions with time! :) ENERGY LEVEL - Low - Both Popeye and I are pretty chill, low energy dudes! Once comfortable in our new home, I'm sure we'll come out of our shells a bit, but I don't think we'll ever be crazy energetic boys. GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown. Dogs –  Yup! At the shelter, Popeye and I live with dogs of all sizes. We get along with everybody. We eat together with other dogs and show no resource guarding. We can be a bit uneasy when meeting doggos when on leash, but you can see here we warm up pretty quickly. Proper introductions on leash (parallel walks etc.) and advocating for our space will be essential to us getting comfortable! Cats – Unknown. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Work in progress! I don't get to go out on walks very often, so I will need some leash work (video). I'm curious when outdoors and don't appear to be bothered by fast driving cars or noise. I am hoping to find an adopter to help me become more confident and find the joy of going out on walks! Here are some videos of me and Popeye walking together on leash (video, video2). A calm, confident owner will be helpful in us learning to walk confidently! House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.  ADOPTION FEE: My bonded pair adoption fee (with Moy) is $1,568.00 CAD including tax ($1400 + 5% GST and 7% PST), which includes both of our adoption fees, vet costs, and airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Bappul 💛 💙 Bappul’s News Account: @4_ever_home__ 1.) Health Condition * Not spayed yet. 2.) Rescue Story * Bappul was rescued from the Gimje City Shelter when an Adogs volunteer was there to help prepare the facilities for the harsh winter. She was urgently rescued from the shelter, where cold winter winds were blowing and contagious diseases were spreading. 3.) Basic Information ❗ As she is still a young puppy, she may exhibit separation anxiety, mouthing/nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling, or barking. Will require consistent patience and training. ❗ Since her parents are unknown, it is difficult to predict her adult size or shedding level. * With People: Is a little shy but likes people in general and approaches with her tail wagging. Isn’t yet used to human touch and avoids hands, but you can pet her if you approach carefully and slowly. * With Dogs: Approaches other dogs carefully to say hi. Mixes well and has fun playing the big dog she stays with. * With Cats: Hasn’t met them yet. * Separation Anxiety: Whines a bit when left alone, but it isn’t severe and she is fine alone. Also does well when left with another dog. Expresses curiosity when left with a stranger, staying relaxed. * Potty Training: Goes potty indoors and has a 100% success rate aside from an upset stomach or unusual situations. * Hygiene: Is good with baths and brushing. Is a little scared of the sound of the blow dryer. Isn’t familiar with tooth brushing yet. * Walks: Has no experience yet since she hasn’t had all her vaccines. * Car Sickness: Vomitted a little bit during her first car ride since she was very nervous. After that experience, she didn’t show signs of car sickness and was fine during a long-distance train ride. * Doesn’t bite people but she’s a teething puppy so she nibbles on objects. * Doesn’t whine but gives a natural alert bark a bit when hearing unfamiliar outside noises. * Has a great appetite and loves food. * Is still unfamiliar with human touch and avoids it. * Can ‘sit.’

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Miracle🌟 Miracle was found on the street with a leg injury. He's had several surgeries and he's recovering. We named him Miracle, hoping he'd walk again like a miracle!! He's so affectionate and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Make him a MIRACLE together❤️ Miracle arrived at the Gimje Shelter with fractures in both hind legs and spine. Due to overcrowding, he couldn’t receive the care he needed at the shelter. ADogs rescued him, and he received orthopedic surgery and continuous treatment. • With People: He likes people and adjusts well! He may be shy at first and need time to sniff and explore. Once comfortable, he’ll wag his tail and approach for pets like the sweet boy he is. • With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. Calm in nature, he prefers quietly watching others rather than rough play. • Separation Anxiety: Unknown due to shelter group living. • Potty Training: Usually goes on pee pads, though occasional accidents on the floor may occur. • Grooming: Very well-behaved during baths. • Walks: Walks nicely without pulling. • Car Rides: Rides comfortably without motion sickness. ❗ Health Status❗ • Neutered: Yes • Other: Underwent orthopedic fixation surgery He now has use of his spine and hind legs after surgery. Rehab is complete, but long walks or exercise should be adjusted based on his condition.

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Jerry💛 💙 Name: Jerry 💙 Gender: Female 💙 Age: Estimated 4 months old (Born in August 2025) 💙 Weight: 3.2 kg / 7.05 lb 💙 Adogs Center Updates: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Not spayed yet. * Microchipped. * Is being treated for a minor injury on her tail, including disinfection. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Jerry was living at the Gimje City Shelter. She was waiting for someone to hold out a hand to her, but no one showed up to be her family. The weather was becoming colder and it was determined that it would be hard for Jerry to live at the shelter under poor conditions, so Adogs urgently rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information ❗️As a puppy, she may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, biting, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling and barking. ❗️It is difficult to predict her shedding and growth size because her parents are unknown. * With People: Even when she is with the caregiver, she gets scared of strangers, tucks her tail and freezes up. Once getting familiar, she shows her playful and adorable side. With the caregiver, she stays by the person's side, plays with her toys, naps, and even shows her belly. Is a bit wary of people standing and moving around; she usually keeps her distorted retreats to her kennel. * With Dogs: Got along well with other dogs at our center. Hasn’t met any dog friends since moving to the foster home. * With Cats: Hasn’t met them yet. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear, as she is rarely left alone in the foster home. * Potty Training: Has an accuracy rate of 99% pottying indoors on potty pads but she tries to move away before she's completely done pooping. * Hygiene: Gets a bath once a month. * Walks: Her vaccinations are not complete, so she hasn’t been on any walks. * Car Sickness: Didn’t show any signs of car sickness. * Doesn’t bite, but may nibble or nip since she’s still a teething puppy. Has started chewing on her paws pads recently, but not to an excessive degree. * Whines quietly when left alone in an unfamiliar environment. * Feels comfortable in her kennel and goes inside whenever she's scared or wants to rest. * Is very timid and easily scared of unfamiliar places, situations and people. * Already knows how to "sit" and "lie down.
