Story
Aldo is an approximately 2-3 year old chihuahua that was hit by a car in 2023 and left at the side of the road. He was so lucky to be found by a caring person who rushed him to the vet to help him. Amazingly he did not have any broken bones. Once recovered from his wounds, he needed help learning how to walk again but unfortunately did not have access to supported recovery, so he learned to drag himself around to move from place to place. This resulted in skin wounds and injuries. Since being with Mountainside, Aldo has been learning to walk and not drag. He has gone through rehabilitation to build up the strength in his hind end which was completely atrophied. With love and care from his current foster, he is encouraged to walk and is getting much stronger. He loves people so much as well as other dogs and cats. Aldo is learning to play with his friends and very much enjoys being a lap dog wherever possible. His favourite moves are chin and belly rubs.

Story
**Note: Younga is currently in Korea, but she will fly to Vancouver once adopted. Background Younga is a gentle little soul who was rescued from a farmer. She had been chained outside a greenhouse and used as a guard dog. After many attempts to persuade the owner, he finally agreed to surrender her. She now lives safely in our boarding house with other dogs. Personality and Socialization Younga is a very sweet and tender girl. She has medium energy and enjoys playing with friendly small dogs. She is also fine with larger dogs as long as they are calm and kind. With people, she is a total love bug. She adores being close and seeks affection often. She has no experience with cats, but given her soft nature she should adjust well with a slow and patient introduction. Behaviours She has been an easy dog from the start. She does well in the car, during baths and at vet visits. She was calm and well mannered during her checkups. She is quiet, obedient and very loving. She has shown no separation anxiety and no destructive behavior. She uses indoor pee pads and also does her potty outside. She is still new to leash walking but she follows her person nicely and is learning quickly. Health and Diet Younga is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She is dewormed and receives monthly parasite prevention. She eats dry kibble and has no known allergies. Ideal Home Younga is a sweet, gentle and easygoing girl. She will be happiest with someone who works from home or is retired since being close to her person is what she loves most. She is a great fit for a first time dog parent, and she would also do well as a second dog. With her kind nature, she can blend into many types of families. Whoever adopts her will be very lucky to have her. ----------------------------- For more info about the dog, or the adoption applicaiton, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/younga/

Story
Stuart is a 2.5-year-old rescue from Mexico who came to us with his brother and another dog after their previous family asked for help before moving. He has lived with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as children. He can happily join a home with another dog, but he’d also thrive as the center of attention in a home where he gets lots of affection. Stuart adores people. He can be a little cautious at first, but he prefers to approach new humans on his own terms—and once he does, he becomes incredibly loving, cuddly, and loyal. He loves being close, snuggling, and playing with his people. Stuart is fully vaccinated, sterilized, and microchipped. We’re working on his house training; he currently uses pee pads and will adjust to outdoor routines as he settles into colder weather. As with all rescue dogs, a basic training class will help him build confidence and bond with his new family. To apply to adopt Stuart, please visit www.aboutadogrescuesociety.ca. Adoption fee: $550. We only adopt within Vancouver and surrounding municipalities, as an in-person home visit is required.

Story
Meet Toto! He is a little shy and a sweet boy who wants to be loved :) Behaviours from the foster mom : Toto loves doggie friends, but he is a bit shy. He wags his tail cheerfully and waits for other dogs to come to him first. Toto hasn't met any cat friends yet, so we don't know how he would react to them. Toto loves kids and is very comfortable around them. He seems to be more comfortable with female adults than with males. He gets scared by sudden, big movements or loud noises, so please give him some time to adjust to a new environment, especially at the beginning. :) He is good at bathing and brushing, but he is afraid of the dryer, so his foster mom is trying to help him feel more comfortable with it. He has great manners on his walks, though he sometimes gets scared by loud noises or shadows, so please make sure he is on a leash and be cautious during walks. He only does his business outside. He is not a big barker, but he sometimes barks when he hears noises from outside. He hasn't shown any signs of separation anxiety, and he doesn’t feel carsick during drives. He wasn't specifically kennel trained, but he goes into his kennel when he is told to. He is a smart boy. ;) He hasn't shown any aggressive behavior, but he sometimes nibbles when he gets scared or startled, so please don’t scare him suddenly. Toto is a sweet boy who will shine with some time in a new family. Would you be this sweet boy's loving family? :D Allergy/health issues: Toto's foster mom said that he might have an allergy to salmon. Toto had a heartworm issue when he was rescued, but he is all cured now, and he's been given heartworm and flea/tick prevention medication every month since then. He does not have any health issues at present. *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog.

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Edge💞 💙 Adogs Updates Account: @_adogs_everyday 1⃣ Health Condition • Spayed • Others: Is scheduled for retest of heartworm in May 2026, has recovered from anaplasmosis and giardia. Dental scaling completed. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Edge was living at the Gimje City Shelter, waiting for a gentle hand to reach out to her. Sadly, no family came forward to adopt her. During the week-long Chuseok holiday, the shelter became overcrowded, and it was difficult for Edge to receive the appropriate care she needed. To prevent that she would spend the long holiday alone while neglected, Adogs urgently rescued her. 3⃣ Personality & Characteristics • With People: Absolutely loves people and shows no shyness at all! Happily jumps up, follows people around closely, and loves staying by their side. Makes great eye contact and is very affectionate and sociable. • With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs, including new ones she meets for the first time. • With Cats: Has no interest in cats who stay still, but rushed in to catch when they move. • Separation Anxiety: Since she’s currently living in a group environment at the center, it’s hard to assess. May need basic training when she transitions to home life. • House Training: Not yet known, as she’s currently living in a group setting at the center. * Hygiene: Has no resistance to get her feet touched. Doesn't like toenail trimming, so tries to pull her feet out during it. * Walk : Is a very good walker! Walks in step next to people. • Car Rides: Showed no signs of motion sickness during trips to and from the center or the vet clinic. * Bite: There is no aggressive bite, but gnaws heels or Achilles tendon of people when they walk by. Often bites and pulls their clothes. • Barking: Hasn’t barked or whined so far. • Likes: Is a super charming dog who adores people so much. * Dislikes: Tries to avoid getting toenail trimming.
