Daisy was an owner surrender to an LA pound in Van Nuys and when she got there was not happy! She can be a grouch and IS a grouch to dogs who cross her path. And though she likes her humans she can also lash out at them when startled and she has very sharp needle teeth and can bite. Cute, stout and low to the ground she is just adorable. She is house trained and although she is blind she does not act like that matters a bit though perhaps that makes her more intolerable of being startled. She would love to be an only dog! If you handle with care and know your stuff then you will have a sweet friend.

One of 5 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation where more went to other rescues. Lyle and his 4 siblings lived in squalor in Visalia until the owner died and they were pulled out by animal control officers in Hazmat suits! It was pretty gross! The dogs had dreadfully long nails, live fleas feasting on the pups and skin conditions to show it. None was fixed and all were frightened but all love affection and though they initially bark and back away they truly want to be held and loved and all cant wait for new clean lives being fussed over and treated like champions. Barks at strangers and it is a piercing bark bu the can be trained out of that. And he is a tiny sweet little man who does like affection

Blind little guy but you would never know it. A very sweet little dog with a wonderful personality and smart to boot. He is a very fine dog and a favorite already. Sad story but good ending. West LA pound took in Chandler and Monica and they were quickly adopted as the bonded pair they are. Then Monica had a seizure and both were returned to the pound where they were given a euthanasia date a couple days later. We hired a transport to pick them up in the nick of time and got them to foster in LA until our volunteer could drive them to SLO county. Not only is it shocking to think Chandler would be killed because he sister suffered a seizure but that even a seizure matters in this world of young dogs. Said to be 4 they are indeed bonded and fun and lively and very sweet. will make great family pets.
