He acts snarely and stand offish, but warms up quickly and gets along well with other calm dogs. He loves to be petted but can be nervous when he is picked up. He's an ornery guy and can be growly when playing or being set down, but has never bitten or nipped at anyone. Not recommended for kids under 12. Let me be honest with you, I am a senior and blind and it may take me a couple of days to get used to a new place. However, when I open up you will be amazed at how much I actually enjoy being outside roaming around and exploring. I am a different dog outside and I do not allow my age or anything else stop me from enjoying the excitement of being out in fresh air, but don't worry I can be a be a lap dog too.
