I am just starting my journey to become a house pet. Wearing a harness and leash is all new to me. I do not know my name yet so I have no recall. I do require a securely fenced yard as I don't understand the dangers of roads, cars and trucks snd I don't walk or potty on a leash. My foster mom has found I can climb a wire expen. I am working on house training, I use a potty pad now and do well with that. I have 5 teeth left so a softer diet is best for me. Do you have lots of love and patience to help me continue my journey learning to be a house pet? Can you be my furever home? I'm Nacho or Bruno as my foster mom calls me :) I am a very high energy little guy, I am constantly under your feet to stay involved in any fun stuff happening. I am a double merle chihuahua which caused a birth defect in my eye, it's call microophthalmic, which means my eye is extra small and non functioning. I was also born hydrocephalic (water on my brain, as well as an open fontanelle (my soft spot on my head did not close so my brain is not fully protected by my skull) Now that we got that out of the way...... I am a very happy go lucky, highly energetic pup looking for a furever home of my own. No small children, no older rambunctious children, and no big dogs please as if I got dropped or rolled I could get a serious brain injury. I do like playing with small dogs my size. Because of my eyesight I do require a physically fenced yard. Can you be my furever home? I came to DDR as I was a stray and needed a place to go that could give me some medical attention. I looooove children, I love them so much I try to dash out the door to get to whereever they are or where they are going. For that reason I do require a physically fenced yard so I stay safe and don't become a stray again. I am very very fast going where I want to go so if a door is open I will be gone. I am very good with men also, I can be a bit leary of women so I must have had a bad experience with a woman in the past. I love sleeping on top of the couch or on the couch under a blanket. Purchased him in Florida about 5 years ago. We celebrate his birthday in April. He is so full of energy he loves to play and play fetch. He plays well with kids but he prefers the older aged ones because although he don’t bite, he will if he’s being handled roughly or not left alone when he don’t wanna play. He loves to snuggle also he’s such a big baby I swear and he’s got the most sweetest personality so full of love. He will take a minute to get use to anybody new but it don’t ever take him long to know he’s safe. He scratches at the door to go potty and I don’t have to leash him or watch him in my unfenced yard because he don’t go no where. I just want him to be as spoiled as he always has been he really is a little loving prince. But I am now a single mother and I cannot afford or have the time to give him the attention he deserves.

Playful and always following her nose on walks. Smelling other dogs and the environment I'm sure. Recently learned to walk slowly by my side. Also has learned to move off the road and sit when a vehicle is approaching. Will answer to a whistle, hand gesture and "here". Enjoys attention, like petting, brushing, sitting on my lap and belly rubs. No separation anxiety and always excited when I return. Enjoys riding in the car. During the last 2 years I have come to truely value this dog. I think you will also.It has become difficult to provide the care l want her to have. I've recently had two back surgeries. Best if you have a yard she could make her own.
