Petey is 1.5 years old. He is a typical chihuahua very protective of his home and his people. He loves to play especially fetch with his stuffed armadillo. He loves to go on walks and does well on the leash. He is a high energy little fellow and would do well in an active home. He is a cuddle bug and loves to sit in your lap. He has not been around a lot of people or other pets so it takes him a little while to warm up. He is a full bred but I do not have papers on him.

Blitzen is a 2 year old (est. DOB: December 2021), indoor pet.  He appears to be Chihuahua mix.  Coat coloring is tan.  Blitzen is crate trained, somewhat quiet, and likes men and women.  We think he would be great with kids too.  Blitzen isn't housebroken, so will need instruction.  He is good with other dogs, but introduce slowly to any other animals.  This guy is very active; has crazy energy.  We do know he likes people, kisses, and toys. Layla and Mila are sisters. They are 5 years old, date of birth is 4/6/2019). Chihuahua/Dachshund mix (Chiweenies). Layla is white with brown/brindle spots and Mila is brown with black. They are indoor pets,, housebroken and crate trained. They are pretty quiet little girls, once they get to know you. They need to be adopted together, and would be best in a quiet home with adults. Archie was surrendered to our shelter, due to his owner having to go into a nursing home. Archie is a  2 1/2 year old (DOB: 9/21/2021), Chihuahua mix. Archie is a sweet little guy who now needs a new home and family.  If you have other dogs, Archie would be best with calmer dogs that are not agressive.  Also best with older children, if any, because he can be a little nippy, out of fear of strangers.  If interested, our shelter location is 11901 S. Story
Blue is an 11 1/2  year old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, who is mostly black with gray highlights. Taco is an 8 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix, who has a tan and white coat.  Blue and his friend Taco are presently in a foster home with a foster mom and dad, but availble for adoption as a bonded pair.  For years they have found comfort in sleeping together and following each other around.  They are both friendly, gentle and curious about their surroundings.  Blue has a mellow temperament, is friendly with people and okay with other dogs; sometime a bit timid. They are both lap dogs and very playful when running around together, or with other dogs. Taco does like to bark some, but good with people and other dogs. They both enjoy being petted and held.  They may need a home with older adults, and no children.  They are 'seniors' so their adoption fee would be a reduced amount.  If interested, call the shelter to arrange an appointment and visit. 806-622-0555.
